All the talk of RWD in winter 🙄 Here in Liverpool it never bloody snows anyway, simply not an issue for me. Even in winter no problems visiting wales / lakes /peaks.

I have a westfalia removeable tow bar & Thule Tow Bar mounted Bike Rack, MPG drops arround 5-8mpg on my motorway stints.

Life is full of warranty storey fails, be its turbo’s going on new ‘high end’ cars, ‘high end’ frames cracking, ‘high end’ mac book pro keyboards failing after 13 months, etc etc… sometimes your lucky, sometimes your not in my experience.

Obviously massive companies like Giant, Specialized, etc can comfortably afford to swallow the longer warranty period, economies of scale & all that,

The other end you have the like of Turner who’s frames are very expensive but have a great warranty, that said Ive read more warranty stories than Ive seen bikes on the trails

The tyre noise on the BM is very wearing (perhaps because it was on 18s, though the tyres themselves are only 10mm wider than the mondeos)

My point is the then Mondeo out handled the BMW. Thus, in my book at least, more fun to drive. Ford invest in delivering cars that drive well. To out drive the ultimate driving machine is then a point of note, in my book.

Without seeing the article (link?) its hard to comment, Maybe the ford was more powerful version for instance? was it a luxury or sport 3 series? etc etc. Drawing the conclusion it out handles could be premiture, was it an E90 or the new F30, obviously a difference as OP will be after a F30, you leave a grey area in your argument.

I would be interested to see an updated comparison carried out on TG. They put a 3 series and an equivalent powered Mondeo around their track. Mondeo beat the 3 series.
