I have an E90 & went the Westfalia removeable Towbar (£300) & Thule Euro something Bike Rack (£250) route. Great kit but pricey.

Ive had it for 5 years now & only needed a fuse on Towbar replacing, not sure what options you get for £100? not many id imagine.

Sure you want a bike rack directly on your paint?

Is Peterborough a city? Learn something new hey, can’t really remember my time there…

Not much worse than these in my experience than…

    Bradford
    Stoke
    Portmouth
    Middleborough
    Newport

Whilst we are naming towns, there are plenty…

    Skelmersdale
    Bury
    Rochdale
    Crewe
    Rhyl
    Luton
    Dunfermline
    Rotherham
    Doncaster
    Widnes
    Dover
    Slough
    Croydon
    Etc etc

They may not match the likes of bike discount

Anyone who thinks they should (and maybe could?) isnt really worth entering into conversation with as they simply dont get the way of the world.

Just put a set of Specialized Storm 2Bliss on my Solaris for the winter mud, yet to ride sadly as Ive got a Hamstring strain :(

I’d imagine the majority of good winter tyres are available in 26 & 27.5 and in reality there is no performance differences in the minor size change.

I’d also imagine the testers are regularly riding new & as a consaquence 27.5 wheeled bikes, so why change bikes?

I was hammered and ended up going back with a rather large, but lovely lady.

Unfortunately the walk to her house sobered me up.

    i realised I couldn’t go through with the deed…

Was the walk 20 miles? if not you wernt really hammered

In my younger years as a trainee in a building services enginering office we went out for the usual late afternoon / evening meal & night time drinks.

One lad thought he was a big time drinker mixing red wine & Stella & necking it back. I had to ring his mother at 18:30 to pick him up. :D

Not telling any of my tales, we all like promo girls though :)

if it was my own I would rather be a bit slower, worse fuel economy than land a bill for a new engine or ecu

Or premature Cluth / DMF / Turbo failure, totally agree with you.

are they? How different are the 2008 2.0tdi in 140bhp and 170bhp variants? I honestly thought, that if a main dealer would be prepared to do it, that they were likely to be pretty similar! I didn’t have it done anyway, the car was absolutely fine in standard form.

I’ll admit im making somewhat of a presumption but using other models in the VAG range, logic would suggest this is the case. 140/170 variants of Golf (GT/GTD) & various Skoda’s are actually different engines, VAG do more than one 2.0 TDI unit.

Also when it is the same engine, its usually different sized Turbos & Injectors for the various outputs, its common across both petrol & diesel VAG engines.

it showed me that they were absolutely the same minus the programming

    Except they’re actually different engines

In a lot of cases, the engine is the same throughout the range of powers, for example 82, 102 and 130 bhp models, it’s just the tune that’s different. As far as I can tell, the other bits are the same (clutch, brakes, etc) so it may be that they just have the option for charging a bit more or less depending on the power that they put out.

Think you will often find its also the turbos, intercoolers etc that are also different, Im talking generally, not just VW vans

If you tell us the Album & Track I will possibly be able to answer this for you, or atleast give you the possible reasons.

This is common practice, for various reasons, more so on compilations than artist albums though

It is not case of doing this for itunes & another for Amazon etc, it should be the same for each product across all retailers with a few exceptions.

1.6 doesn’t seem a big enough engine in such a car.

Surely you look at the output not the engine size?

Anyway 117bhp according to the net, that’s ‘enough’ id have thought.

It’s kind of ruined the place

Behave, some grass & bushes will grow, the rain will wash half of it away & it will be fine.

Pathetic to say the whole place is ruined by a new section of trail.

Yep, I get that bit, but do you think it as good as could be for the money? Should the builders have gone for some thing more technical, or is a smoother trail better so to encourage a greater range of riders?

I’m not really qualified to say, I dont know what the average rider at penmchno wants / needs, what these things cost, how many beginer / child friendly routes are needed / planned, I dont know future plans for the trail & surrounding area etc.

What I do know is we are very lucky any money is being spent on trails for us to enjoy. If you were to put the VFM argument to the general punlic I doubt we would see a single penny for a mountain bike trail in the middle of north wales.

I presuming its public money that funded it from what you said btw.

Well I bought one for those exact same reasons TimC. Used code EXTEN and paid £1215. Seems sturdy enough and not too heavy. Don’t ask me how it rides until springtime

Sadly or maybe luckily that code no longer works, any upgrades planned before you use it? Brakes maybe?
