First thing I thought of was a thread on here and some of the nastiness. I was right.

There was always going to be nastiness – show no consideration for people and they will show you no consideration in return. Its a sad fact of life and she must have known this.

The people affected by her policies were never going to forgive her as she never said sorry

More worryingly she started the ball rolling on the demise of Society, the Welfare State and heralded the rise of individualism also known as ‘F*** everyone else, I’m alright and that’s all that matters’.

    This, sort of

I’m not old enough to really be able to comment on her, but from reading up on the policies this is what comes to the fore.

We do have a society, but its badly damaged – and as a pragmatic leftie it seems to me that Thatchers breed of free-market capitalism can be seen as the basis of the “I’m Alright Jack” personality that this country has taken on.

It’s utter rubbish to say “if you want to succeed, you will” because not everybody can succeed in a capitalist system as you only “win” when someone else “loses” – as otherwise there is no-one to compare yourself against. A manager pays his staff less than he potentially could so he can make extra profit for himself.

How were the towns in the north meant to succeed when the only available industry had been removed from them? It just left a void, causing unneeded suffering and everlasting resentment. They weren’t supported – the cynic would say because they weren’t natural Tory voters?

Privatisation is the theft of wealth and power from the 99% to the 1%. Cameron, Osborne, Gove & Hunt are all just following on in this image, but have learned from Blair how to hide it behind an Etonian smirk.

If this does all indeed stem back to her ruthlessness then I can really see why she is so hated by many in society.

There are quite a few people on this thread that seem to be hard of understanding.

    Worth quoting.

Rooney will only get injured or sent off anyway. I wouldn’t have taken him due to mouthing off at the camera at the last world cup.

As said before, none of our ‘stars’ are anyway as good as they think they are, and most of them are bloody lazy

Never rated Ferdinand – he ball watches too much and gets caught out. Plus the way he acted after ‘that’ missed drug test was atrocious.

Hodgson should build a new team completely. All under 22, most under 20. Look at the Germans at the last Word Cup – they were brilliant.

No point keeping the older players – they weren’t good enough the last few years, why would they be now? Cant think of one of the older players apart from Gerrard who I would want to keep.

You can do that and there are apps that theoretically work.

Its the pairing I’m having the issue with, I need a compatible GPS doofer.

My Bfe frame weighs 5.4 lbs (quoted). Probably one of the most do-it-all frames around. Light enough for big rides, yet doesnt feel unstable and is very tough.

A build with Wotans and burly rims, sticky tyres, dropper post, chain device etc was ~33lbs. Great fun on the downhills, but overkill really.

Just revised and rationalised it – now its ~26/27 lbs without the dropper post (havnt quite finished bike yet to weigh), with 140mm Revs, 2.4″ tyres… i expect its a lost a little bit of its stability, but gained a lot more agility, and should be much less of an arse to drag up a hill.

I seriously doubt I could EVER break the frame.

Its all in the build. A soul would be a pound less with the same build, but I couldnt run a dropper post as easily for more techy riding (and its £200 more!). A change of the relatively old and chunky EA50 bars and onone 456 stem in a few months will see a bit more weight off as well

    Its all bikes.

The 2nd iteration of mine is about 75% re-built, waiting on some finishing kit from CRC, but hopefully shaved about 5lbs in the process…

I think my one has equal ends as per the first pic.

Undo one of the shock mounts and check for fouling.

Also check the shock itself doesnt hit the rocker as it moves through the stroke.

If its bottoming out hard, he may need some more hi-speed comression damping (depending on the shock)

Not sure how to make sure though. 6 bolt hub – looks like i have wrong adaptor

It screws together fine and cleanly – runs out of thread – will measure it anyway

Right…looks like I need the other adaptor then.

Not sure how to check what hub/yr it actually is mind 🙂

Mine is an early one and doesnt have HDMI, the component cable adaptor has (i think) an optical port, but you can get ones which do if my one doesnt.

Cheers guys – little bit lost now!

Sound bar is probably the best way to go as it is a small room, but do want a seperate sub of possible.

The more i look, the more i’m realising that a cheap setup probably isn’t doing to do what i want it to – unless i go s/h

Xbox def does not have HDMI – the connector is component & optical

The freehub may have some play – make sure its peoperly tightened down and see if it has some ‘wobble’ – easier with the cassette on there and correctly tightened. Some always seem to have a little bit of play though.

Either way, as long as the thing isnt falling apart and the threads and pawls are ok, it shoudn’t come loose.

I may have a spare shimano rear hub kicking around that can be scavenged for parts. Cant remember if i gave the wheel away though…

    Tim

Wheels need a service – pretty easy but need some skinny spanners.

I’ve had the cassette thing – first time the freehub had worked loose from the body of the hub (its a big 10mm allen key behind the axle bearing assembly, well it was anyway).

2nd time i managed to crack the freehub in half and rip the spline off the hub. That time the freehub spun on the hub, and the cassette fell off as there was no tension the threads 🙂

I’d strip the hub, take the freehib off, check the threads and palws on both hib body and freehub, clean, slither of grease and reinstall if all ok.

clean an check threads on cassette locking and freehub, and check the cassette is seating down properly so the lockring is threading down enough to hold it. You shouldnt need locktite.

Is it getting chainsuck? – The chain getting stuck between frame and chainrings?

The frame wont be any more sensitive to chainslap than anything else – not that i can see anyway.
