Thought it was a dignified interview given how disappointed she must be

Can’t blame her for wanting to give her version of events and can’t be a nice way to end your career

Having seen the others interviewed you can see how she wouldn’t fit in being that much older and considerably less giggly

You need to raise the dispute with your service provider not Openreach who are agents for the SP

Does sound as though you have been charged unfairly as he obviously found a fault. Ask your SP to check the engineers notes on the fault tracker which they should have access to

In the case of Iron Maiden: I think “the Talisman”, off the Final Frontier, their latest album, is one of the best songs they’ve written…ever!!

Must say i thought that album was very overblown and almost prog rock

Hallowed be thy name is still my favourite although Paschendale runs it a close second

I thought the first two Iron Maiden albums when Bruce Dickinson returned were very good (not so keen on the more recent ones though)

Probably got something to do that without those planes and more importantly the men that flew them we wouldn’t have a monarchy.

For the older generation like myself whose parents played an active part in WWII it’s a bit more poignant. My old ma lost both her parents in the blitz then joined the land army and my late dad served in Bomber Command.

Saw a bit of the concert earlier and then watched Iron Sky on Vision

Hasn’t got any better and the comedians? are truly awful, even worse than the performers

I understand you wishing to encourage your daughter, but these competitions seem rather pointless if they are mainly inflenced by lobbyists

If your daughter appreciated the feedback perhaps join a photographic website and post up photos for critique. Some very knowledgeable people about and some good honest opinions too which can only serve to help a budding photographer.

Even have competitions, but they are anonymous so as to avoid the garnering of votes and are purely talent based.

Looked at the link and although I didn’t vote, will give some critique if your daughter is interested in others opinions
It is a pleasing photo with the cygnet nicely in focus although slightly overexposed in places and crop is a bit tight at the top. Guessing the whole shot has been cropped a fair bit which doesn’t help to tell the whole story and might have been nice to have more of the adult swan.

Haven’t looked at the photos, but shouldn’t the winner have done so by its own merits rather than having votes drummed up on various websites.

Know my daughter would be very annoyed at me if I tried to influence anything she entered. We both enter photo competitions and would never vote for each other’s entry just to get more votes, nearly as bad as voting for oneself (that really is sad)

Go first class fairly regularly between Peterborough and York

Nice breakfast on the way up then afternoon tea on the way home, very civilised and last time the difference going up was £2.90 (usually about six quid extra each way)

Having direct access function controls is so much nicer and easier than having to scroll through menus

Joystick control of the focus point on the 7D is very handy, surprised they discarded that on the 60D

Yeah +1 for decent lenses. 70-200mm F4L and 17-55 F2.8 here – 17-55 is perfect for biking shots.

I agree got both of those too, went for the IS version of the 70-200 f/4 and also have the 10-22mm along with a 1.4 TC

Apart from extreme long range got most eventualities covered with that selection

Although I am very happy with my 7D think if I were buying a quality camera tomorrow it would be the Pentax K-5 especially with the £50 cashback or £80 if bought with the kit lens

I have a 7D having moved onto it from a 40D, very pleased and only thing I would like is a max setting on the auto ISO same as the 600D and 60D

Auto focus settings take a bit of getting used to and would suggest buying one of the expanded manual type books

Don’t think you would be disappointed, even if a mark II did come out can’t see me changing

Sumatriptan may help, get mine on prescription, but know its available under a tradename over the counter, think its about 8 quid for two 50mg tablets.

Can’t comment on migraine and aura because I suffer with Cluster Headache, but worth asking the GP about meds as I know how debilitating acute headache can be

Sumatriptan nasal spray available too and I also use the self injecting form which works very quickly

I’d suggest that what you want there then isn’t a different camera, it’s a newer course.

Think you will find that a photographic degree course will use film and digital. You may have heard of something called medium format which is still largely film based.

    TijuanaTaxi

A lot of photography courses still insist on using film cameras

Best to find out more and what she needs then look for a suitable camera, plenty of secondhand ones about with warranty from places like MPB Photographic and Ffordes
