The one in his picture appears to have three leg locks and the one in the link has two

Perhaps he just posted the wrong link, he mentions it cost him 100 quid, so obviously different if the linked one was 99 without the head

Not condoning the misrepresentation, but do you still think you have got a decent tripod at a fair price?
Looks ok especially with the head for that money, would be good to see what he says though

Just checked again and have you been sold the 7300? bit naughty because that's only 70 quid new

Not the Eagle, very expensive, crap choice of beer and just been fined 20 grand plus for hygiene problems

The Castle on Castle Hill is much nicer and the Mitre in Bridge Street has just been included in the good beer guide, good selection of ale.

Neither far from the Corn Exchange especially the Mitre

Right sorted out the addenham thing now and apparently the top step of the Three Kings is higher than the top of Ely Cathedral

So there you have it, bit of local knowledge

I also live in St Ives, but its not really the Fens

Chatteris and thereabouts is the real deal and some very odd people there.
Manea is another strange backwater although the pub there seemed ok

Lady I work with comes from Haddenham and she mentioned something about the top step of the local pub there as having some significance with regards to highest point or something similar

You could try AVforums, but they have very stringent rules and make sure you read them to avoid falling foul of the zealous mods

Another option is trading your kit in with someone like Mifsuds,London Camera Exchange, Ffordes etc etc.
Buy a copy of Amateur Photographer, comes out weekly on a tuesday, loads of adverts at the back

Don't reckon the Camera will fetch much, but the lenses will fit modern Sony DSLR's and might get a fair price for them
Gumtree is another outlet that could be worth a shot or one of the numerous free ad papers.

Not sure if there is a Sony users forum, but got to be worth a google

Ebay is the obvious choice, but becoming very expensive and heavily geared towards buyers. Good in one way, but there seem to be a lot of people trying it on and has put me off a bit (lot)

Other than that I don't really know, but good luck and enjoy your new camera

Pentax K-m it is then or even better the soon to be released K-x (looks like a good'un)
Could push the boat out and get a K-7 or an older K20/Samsung GX20
(Samsung use Pentax mount and are almost identical)

Jessops don't sell Pentax due to them not renewing their credit line, don't blame them either with the state of Jessops finances

Canon's Auto ISO is optimized to choose lower, cleaner ISOs in exchange for the slowest shutter speed you can hold safely

Had a Fastpack 250 and a very small Micro-Trekker, not overly impressed with either particularly from a comfort angle

Now using a Kata DR465 and its so much better (to me anyway) they also do a larger 467 which takes a Laptop

Not new, but the last GnR album was a real cackfest

Haven't been that disappointed since I bought Deep Purples "Come Taste The Band"

Judas Priests version of the Joan Baez tune Diamonds and Rust is very good.
The same song is also covered very well by Blackmore's Night

No idea about any of these awful programmes, but pretty certain whatever these people do or say is well rehearsed and designed to get attention and headlines

Watched a repeat of Inspector Morse last night, forgotten what a well acted and made series that was

Freespirit in Cambridge became Millets and the Blacks (which is closing down) moved to newer premises

As an aside I agree their customer service was dire, last time I went in the shop assistant was just downright rude and ignorant

who is going to take her mantle as UK's most repugnant woman?

Think there will be a fair few contenders for that title

Ms Winehouse must be in the running along with that vile woman with the huge enhanced chest (can't remember her name though)

Oh and then there is Thatcher too

I didn't know they witheld payment until the feedback was received until recently

Bought and received an item and then wasn't online for a couple of days, when i next logged on I had a load of emails asking if I was happy and for me to leave feeback

Thought that the seller was just a bit bonkers until they explained that their money hadn't been released

You can buy my Siggy 24-70mm for a couple of hundred quid, been thinking about buying something posh like a 24-105L for a while

Nice example, sharp and in good nick with constant f2.8 throughout the range

Second the Sigma 24-70 (iv'e got the non HSM model) as ever does depend on whether or not its a good example

Fortunately mine is and very pleased with it indeed, big old lump though and if you like filters the 82mm is rather pricy I believe

Tamron 17-50 f2.8 always gets good reviews and they have just released an image stabilised version, might tickle my fancy I reckon

Oh and got the fleece for the Beaufort too and a hood for any of them as well
Just had a look and the fleece liner is 40 quid, hardly wore mine and even a hood is over 20 quid

Must have been better off than I thought 20 years ago, no coincidence that my daughter is now 18, damn expensive those kiddy things

    What size are you?

There is one shorter one (Border) in good nick, another Border which will be a size down as I got a bit slimmer at one stage, in fair condition
Also a longer one (Beaufort) which is well worn and in need of a good re-wax. Re-wax wouldn't hurt any of them really I suppose

Going to be a bit pricy to post as they are rather weighty, anyway let me know if you are interested please and I will check out the sizes

Even worse than watching these dire programmes is the way so many people have to discuss them all the time

Same with soaps, don't they realise its not real

Unbelievable how actors/actresses have been abused because of the role they play

I used to wear one on the motorcycle. I'd quite like one again – what size are they?

Think they are 42in or maybe the long one is a 44in, if you were interested could have a better look.
The longer one had a rather nice press stud fitting fleece for when it got very nippy, found that too along with a large size hood

Strangely enough I wore one on a motorbike too, came off and it protected me rather well

My house was also owned by an old dear and the garden was in an awful state
Heavy duty hedge trimmer coped with most of the work along with some decent loppers and a tree saw

Chainsaws are fine tools, but potentially a bit dangerous in the wrong hands (mine)

If you go down the hedge trimmer route, make sure you get a protected plug thing just in case you inadvertently cut the lead

Reckon the CWU are going to be busy, i'm in that union and just at the start of a dispute with BT over working hours and a good few other things too

Think there could be a bit of disruption all round this winter, too many companies have seen the so called recession as a way to intimidate their staff

Terms and conditions that have been fought for over many years are now being eroded or removed at the drop of a hat
Old gits like me can put up with it for a few years until retirement, but it would be nice to leave the younger generation reasonable and safe working conditions

My daughter just bought a laptop and looked at the Sony's, but in the end went for this one
    http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/product/Qosmio-F50-12W/1066095/toshibaShop/false/

Been excellent so far, brilliant sound too and Toshiba UK were doing them with 200 quid off with free delivery.
Also comprehensive extended 2 year warranty for 50 quid extra which included collection and return

I think all the no voters thought the company was calling their bluff

I didn't think that nor did many of my colleagues who voted no
More a case of having terms and conditions setback years and even if you accepted the deal nothing to stop BT then making people redundant

Many of us older employees could get through a few more years, but sometimes have to think about the younger generation who would be blighted with this deal for ever more

Having worked for them 34 years this is the most devious senior management I have seen and time to make a stand
Already stolen my final salary pension, no pay rise and then this assault on my hours of attendance and other conditions

How can being forced to work away from home for up to 4 months a year with a weeks notice be right or forcing employees (many of them female in offices) to work until 9 o'clock at night in dodgy inner city areas and then travel on sparsely populated public transport

All their spouting about work life balance means shit as opposed to profit and they don't give a flying **** for their workers as these proposals show

My mortgage is similar to yours (14 grand left over three years)and my fixed rate deal runs out in November

Considered borrowing a few grand, my lender Nat West seemed ok with it, changed my mind in the end, but maybe worth a look.
