My daughter has a 2gb iRiver T60 that runs on AAA's I think she would sell, so if that's of any interest let me know

She couldn't find anything over that capacity that ran on AAA's and bought an 8gb Sony Walkman instead

400 and 200 quid respectively I reckon would be top dollar for those two

I would happily take the 170 offer, no messing with postage and it does have newer parts on it which lowers the desirability quite a bit

Another Judas Priest cover, Diamonds and Rust written by Joan Baez

I like watching Starlings strut about and squabble, got lovely markings too
Sadly overlooked bird, but great characters to have in the garden

Glad you got sorted, as I mentioned earlier handling the different cameras is the only way to really decide
I was the opposite and having unusually small hands for my size went for the 500D

Nikon's never feel right for me and no point buying a camera that isn't comfortable in use.
Read once the best camera is the one you have with you (and want to use too)

From what I have read to get the best results from your new purchase you might want to turn off the Auto Lighting Optimizer and High ISO Noise reduction

How long before you have a liking for the 7D?

Why not not look at all the brands, have a try in the hand and see what you reckon

Without sounding too harsh, its not as though you have a selection of great lenses and could sell yours for a few quid

Some great cameras out there, the Nikons you mention, Canon 7D or 50D, Pentax K7 and a couple of Sony's too
All will produce great pics, more down to personal preference than which is best

Thought this was going to be about farting through ones mouth

To be honest was rather dissappointed with the actual content especially being a non-drinker

The railcard is the reason to open a student account, I think its 4 years as well. Well worth getting

They are not exactly expensive (65 quid for three years) and hardly worth compromising security for, would rather give my youngster the cash to buy one if required

My daughter got a Nat West one, very small print that says to get the Free Railcard you need to activate the online bit

She just uses it as a normal account with debit card and chequebook

Sod the railcard, if Barclays head of security won't use online banking that;s good enough advice for me

Pretend to be mad, as in stark-raving.

He'll leave you alone then, bully's don't like nutters

Tis very true, one manager thought my cluster headache meds were to keep psychosis under control

Worked even better when another manager got topped in a hit, totally unrelated non work matter (cheated on his terminally ill wife and her family got it sorted)
Put the fear of god in one nasty guvnor when I casually mentioned that sort of thing was only about three grand

Bullies are by nature cowards and easily frightened

I have one and its shocking

Had the damn thing rebuilt at least twice by BG, must have cost them a fortune, far more than my yearly contributions

Not sure what its called, but one bit that should last years and is about 800 quid has leaked twice and needed replacing

If you keep the boiler go on their repair scheme, you will need it

How about the Nikon editing software you should have for your camera, that would do the job
    or
Pick up an older version of Photoshop Elements, they used to give them away in the software bundle that came with cameras and scanners

Gave my copy of version 2 away and that's got all the basics you need, probably get it for the price of postage if you asked nicely on here

To get the focus business sorted out try something called "back button focusing"
Not that au fait with Nikon, but its basically a custom setting that allows you to lock focus using a button on the rear of the camera

This leaves the shutter button to just deal with exposure and stops focus shifting when you recompose

Think it depends when you passed your test, towing restrictions are the same too

Just looked on mine and it appears D1 is the minibus category

Crumpler I mentioned is easily big enough for a Canon 450 with lens attached and cost me about thirty quid I think

Don't think they scream camera at all, my daughter reckon it looks a bit gay, think any shoulder bag for a bloke would though

I have one of these for my about town bag and very pleased with it
Not too big and doesn't look particularly like a cameera bag either

Didn't think much of it as a live album, too heavily remixed and no audience participation apart from the odd scream here and there

Much prefer Live After Death (perhaps a bit too much scream for me long beach)UFO Strangers in the night, Scorpions tokyo tapes or one of my favourites Big Country without the aid of a safety net

Bought a lens from their West End shop
Bad sample and got a full refund, so ok by me

Whilst I was in there someone brought in a camera for a part ex, can't remember exactly what it was, but do recall thinking what a poor price they offered him
So maybe not best for that aspect

    Yes to both questions

Worked for me when some Shifters I sold and sent went missing

Took a while, but all ok in the end, be aware that the max you can claim for is 39 quid

    Cheers

I see that Wishbone Ash are down to play the High Voltage gig at Victoria Park in East London around July time
Apparently going to play the "Argus" set, so could be good, they are now known as Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash

Looking like a goodie especially if Mr Dio is well enough for Heaven and Hell to play along with UFO, ELP, ZZ Top, Gary Moore and a fair few others from my younger days too
Suppose Iron Maiden would have been the logical choice being the home band as it were, but they are busy at Knebworth

Used to live very near Vicky Park and can't wait for this one 😀

Deep Purple with Gillan (so the 2nd line up)

That was done for the "Perfect Strangers" album

Pity we can't get Cozy back and reform Rainbow to the Rising period

And one more to get back together,Wishbone Ash

Not sure they listen to the Pope anyway, I live opposite a Catholic Church and most seem to have the usual couple of kids per family rather than the job lot you would expect without contraception

I wish he would send down a proclamation telling them not to park across my drive even if it is raining

We usually buy a car nearly new and then keep it for years, on our third one now since 1987

Point being we sold the last one a Honda Civic with 9 months MOT, 3 months tax, half a tank of petrol and 68k on the clock for 200 quid
Fair enough it would have needed some welding for its next test, but 9 months motoring for that sort of money is a result

Chap bought it xmas eve and reckoned it was cheaper than train fares to go up north for the festive period
Must have been alright, got a letter with picture of the car demanding a fine for being in a Sheffield bus lane on New Years Eve.

Some cheap decent motors out there and most people like us sell privately for beer money just to save all the hassle of having an additional car that's not needed hanging about

My missus had Gallstones that evolved into Pancreatitis and nearly killed her, can remember how much pain she was in
She had the Gall bladder out by microsurgery and was very shocked to get a vial full of the stones, looked like gravel from the drive

MRI's are ok though, strangely enough the NHS one was about twice as noisy than when I went private
NHS must have the value scanner
