Indeed the field of view will be magnified by 1.6 on a Canon cropped sensor camera, so yours will effectively become 45-320mm

    Should work fine though

I think it's pretty much all homogenised now

Strange how some milk doesn't get creamy on the top when left which I would think would be homogenised, but others do
My local shop is Waitrose and their essential full cream milk is definitely less creamy than the dearer range

Me, tea dont taste right otherwise

    Exactly

ACR or DPP if its a Canon

Without going into the big RAW v JPEG issue and getting it right in camera, why not use all the tools available to get the best picture

Spent all that money on the camera and lenses, but the software is equally important as is a properly calibrated screen and printer

If you really want a treat, big bowl of Frosties or Sugar Puffs, pour on small pot of single cream, leave for few minutes for cream to soak in and then enjoy.

I thought skimmed was the water that was left over after you rinsed out a roller full of white emulsion

Good old Jersey Gold Top, lovely on cereal.

Always bought Homogenised milk when we lived in London, but don't seem to see it here, just Pasteurised.

Just seen that two donuts have been nicked in Cambridge for lasering an aircraft
Seems that the old bill make every effort to apprehend these fools very quickly and no doubt its quite a serious offence to be charged with

I had really severe headaches for two years before they were diagnosed

Kept giving the doctors all the symptoms and mainly got treated for severe sinus problems although migraine was ruled out due to what did or didn't affect me
Then suggested I had my eyes tested and then mentioned it could also possibly be teeth problems
Painkillers of any strength didn't work no matter how many I took, the headaches were completely ruining my life.

Purely by chance on one of my regular visits I saw a locum GP who straight away suggested it could be cluster headache
Saw a neurologist and it was confirmed, had an MRI just to make sure all was well in the bonce

Still suffering from what is termed "chronic cluster headache" but perseverence has paid off and now at least have meds that help (self administered Sumitriptan Injections)
Tried a few preventative drugs, but not had much success apart from feeling out of it 95% of the time, seems most of the treatments are primarily for other illnesses ranging from epillepsy to manic depression

Not sure if it would help you, but when I get a really bad attack of constant headaches I find that a short course of steroids (60mg of Prednisone a day for five days)breaks it up

Don't stop trying to find out the cause, I got lucky in the end and no point having such a poor quality of life if you don't have to

Deep Purple closely followed by Sabbath for me, never keen on Led Zep though
As for favourite tracks, Pictures of Home from Purple and War Pigs from Sabbath (Heaven and Hell is actually my favourite Sabbath track, but assuming you are talking about the original line up with Ozzy)

Still think Rainbow eclipsed all these bands with Rising and Onstage, Stragazer is one epic track with Ronnie at his best and Light In The Black ain't far behind

Why oh why is Ritchie doing all that medieval nonsense with his lovely missus (perhaps that's the reason)

Try and get a local gas engineer when your boiler fails in the cold weather and if you do sell a kidney in readiness for the bill

So for my less than Ideal combi boiler, worth every penny

Recently had mine rebuilt at the local puter shop, kept the old case,DVD burner and XP OS, but all the rest is new

Much prefer a desktop for photo processing and would be hard to get a laptop with a similar spec especially for the price

Netbooks are great too especially for backing up pictures when out and about

Could be weather sealing too, that adds a bit, but most of all it would be the maximum aperture size or f number. Constant f/2.8 would cost an awful lot more than a variable f/4 – f5.6 in that type of zoom

    TijuanaTaxi

The Sigma 17-70 is only f/2.8 at its very widest and rapidly goes up to f/4.5

I mainly use a Canon 17-55mm IS f/2.8 and occasionally their cheap, but very impressive for the money 55-250m IS
Did have a Sigma 10-20 f/4-f/5.6, but hardly ever used it, sold now and if I did ever buy another wide angle think it would be the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8

Not sure about the jack of all trade zooms, considering a 70-200mm IS f/4 and reckon that would be long enough with the crop factor without being overly heavy

I liked Perfect Strangers, it was Deep Purple's comeback album with the early 70's line up
Sabbath's Heaven and Hell was also rather good when Ronnie replaced Ozzy

Sort of agree about Iron Maiden although I am one of the few it seems that enjoyed Fear Of The Dark
Poor production though and the last album Martin Birch produced before retiring. Not one to be remembered for after all the great albums he had such a big hand in

no messing around, just pointed and shot out of our front door and the electronics sorted it all out

Bit of manual intervention could have improved it further, but all depends how much you want to put into your photography, same as most things really

Same goes for the Op's question too
That would be fine for snapshots and Samsung have made some very good cameras.
One word of caution, a friend bought from Pixmania and the manual was only in French (they are a french company)hear good and bad things about them.

why didnt the buyer use retrobike and buy the item from the seller?

Because it wasn't actually for sale on there, just a link to the Ebay auction

    TijuanaTaxi
    Free Member

Quote and contradict me if you like, but this is my take on the whole tawdry episode

You got a bike cheap with lots of retro parts and saw a killing to be made

Joined Retrobike as many do to get a valuation and then advertise your auction too.

Saw that something similar had sold for a fair sum and rubbed your hands together

Obviously the auction didn't quite go according to plan, probably a fair few watchers so left it running just to see if it got a last minute rush

Dissappointment now sets in at the potential loss of all that new wealth and possibly your valuation skills

Try to garner support here for a less than honourable action and that also goes awry

I state again due to peer pressure and the threat of legal action you reluctantly honour the sale, but still feel aggrieved

You now try to justify your actions and despite knowing that you have acted improperly try to shift attention by trying to claim you have been bullied

To surmise, you have shit out and that's just the way it goes sometimes especially with these so called retro goodies.

Ambulance Chasers cards in A and E are a rather unpleasant sight

They really are scumbags and no doubt do very well out of peoples injuries whilst also pushing up the price of insurance

Just like the clampers that enforce the hideously high hospital parking charges

Where I used to live one chap marched a clamper out from his office at gunpoint to unclamp his car.
Clamper actually fouled his underwear, but got the car unclamped pretty quick

Shame that the gunman got jailed for this harmless action

Peer pressure and the threat of legal action rather than conscience seems to have been the guiding factor in your decision

If you can't afford to gamble don't, same for anything that you could potentially lose a few quid on
Not exactly a fortune is it and daresay you have had a few bargains over the years, swings and roundabouts

Not impressed at all and you will be going on my banned list for ebay

In fact being a very longstanding member of Retrobike, I shall be asking you get added to the bad ebay trader list that is there for this very purpose

Neon Knights from Sabbath's Heaven and Hell or Tarot Woman from Rainbow's Rising

Both great opening tracks, there again both great albums too
