Doesn’t affect me as I earn less than 44K and my daughter is nearly twenty anyway

To my mind it seems fair enough, now lets stop all the rich pensioners clogging up the buses riding about for free and getting 400 quid to supposedly heat their houses whilst they winter abroad

Tried it a couple of times, but got fed up trying to get the ball up the chute, through the portcullis and into the castle

Our car is a R reg Toyota Corolla 1.3 3 door hatch

Good as gold and paid 500 quid for it two years ago, came with new cambelt and just over 50.000 miles on the clock

Passed two MOTs’s with no problems and will hopefully last a few more years yet

LSD or magic mushrooms have been known to relieve frequent headaches

These remedies have been mentioned in connection with Cluster Headaches, more likely they distract you than have any medicinal effect

Have you tried Sumitriptan, think its sold as Imigran in the chemist. Not cheap at 8 quid per 100mg which is one dose, but worth a try

I use this in injection form along with the tablets and nasal sprays for Cluster Headache and its very effective as an abortive treatment
Sometimes need to resort to a short high dose of Steroids (Prednisolone 60mg a day for five days)to break up a very bad attack

Don’t for one minute think you have CH, but the Sumitriptan could be worth a shot if ordinary painkillers have no effect

One downside with the Velbon tripods is the crappy 3 way head they come with. Best to ditch that and get a decent ball-head type with a quick release.
I use a Cullmann Magnesit, but Giottos also make a very similar one which has the friction adjustment (very handy feature)
Also the Velbon have a 1/4″ screw on the mounting plate, most good heads accept a 3/8″ so make sure you get the reducer too. Some heads come with it, but if not only a couple of quid extra

I have had a Manfrotto 055 for years and its still going strong, not that light, but its solid which is more important to me
Also every part can be bought as a spare so you can just replace any bits that get worn out or broken

For a lighter travel option I have a Velbon Ultra Luxi F (as mentioned by Stumpy above) been discontinued now, but its really good and worth buying if you see one on Ebay or the like. Folds down small and can be carried in a backpack, legs are solid enough being a slightly larger diameter than many travel tripods

Its Successor is the Ultra Maxi L, supposed to be very good too, but can’t say as I have never used one. There are two similar models, make sure you get the 25mm dia legs not the 22mm, supposed to make a bit of difference to rigidity

I thought Northerners just had a quick scrub down with carbolic

Poor bloke, leave him alone, bet he doesn’t tell you what cleansing products to use (I wouldn’t know where to start as there seems to be so many for the fairer sex)

One exception to all this stuff is Avon Skin So Soft which is a superb biting insect repellent, even used by the RM Commandos. Wasn’t made as a bug deterrent, but is widely known as the best there is

Many years ago a mate of mine bought a Santana Triple LP called “Lotus” for what was then silly amounts of money (about thirty quid I think)

The first track called “Meditation” was 1min 39sec of bugger all, just silence.

Never much liked them and that is just taking the piss, seems they haven’t improved in about thirty years then

Canon Pixma 4600 or 4700, excellent printers and quick too

Think there may be a new model in the range, but the two above are both very good

Few years ago now, but we used a 750w oil filled radiator, solid panel type unlike the modern ones
Had a thermostat and did a great job of keeping the chill from my daughters room

Our current house is a victorian end of terrace cottage and my daughter still has the coldest bedroom as it is at the back and on a corner.
Fitted a new double c/h rad and lined the external walls with polystyrene off a roll behind some tongue and groove.

All fine and in fact she reckons its too warm at times

Went to a good few of these, all of the ones at the Design Centre and Excel and once at Earls Court

Used to enjoy it when the exhibitors had time to chat, but its got too big now and didn't bother last year and won't be this year either

Think the Earls Court move ruined it for me, can't complain though because I won a grands worth of road bike at the second Excel show

AF-on button on the back, so much nicer than using the shutter button to focus
Focus and recompose to your hearts content, no more messing about changing the lens to manual or aimlessly trying to AF on nothing

Shysters the lot of em, use yer moby or get a mate to do it, dead easy with a digital camera on auto
Charge you a fortune and then expect to get fed and watered too

Or being a tad more serious, find one or two that sound ok or have been recommended and have a look at their previous work
Just because they have all the gear doesn't mean they are any good, I too have most of what was mentioned above and would never attempt a wedding

I too thought it referred to bottom bracket or ball bearing

As for the tv show, never seen it and never wanted to, from what I have read its watching very odd people go about their everyday chores in a house.

Doesn't sound very exciting I must say

Apparently we used a purpose made 5 gallon bucket with what was essentially a big kettle element in the bottom.

I'm told by my good lady that this is a good website for info Beermaking

My missus brewed beer for years, will have an ask and see what you need

Pretty sure she used heated mats and I made a contraption to cool the brew down. Consisted of coiled copper pipe and hose pipe that connected to the cold water tap and was dunked in the mash

Also got some big cylindrical airtight containers that can be pressurised for keeping the brew in, loads of other stuff too

Think some or all could be for sale because due to medical reasons I can no longer drink the produce (probably drunk too much of it i'm ashamed to say)

Still got one of the good beer kits left, Brupaks I think, definitely one of the malt type and none of that sugar homebrew taste crap

There was at one time an annual homebrew show, been to a few, but think it might not be running anymore. Was a magazine too and we have loads of books on the subject as well

Rang them and explained the problem, chap was very helpful and emailed me the paid postage label
Sent it back and they refunded me, can't remember much else as it was that troublefree.

Do wonder if there is some sort of rating system that appears against buyers, along the lines of goods bought and amount of returns, faulty or otherwise
