You can get a polymer bushing that’s supposed to last a lot longer. I know rebound suspension in horwich do them. Gonna get mine changed at its next service

Depends what size wheel. I found a 32t on my 29er was best and I’m pretty fit (I think). If it’s a 26 or 27.5 I’d start with a 34t and see how you go on. Oh and I’ve only got a measly 10 cogs on the back

Had the bike upside down with wheel off and can’t get the pikes to make any noise so don’t think it’s them. Time to go back out and listen for it again

I had 2013 solo air rebas on my Niner air 9 and they where great for xc riding but obviously if you start pushing then too hard your going to get a bit of flex and maybe bottom out. But they’re light and easily serviced.

Every couple of rides remove the reverb from the seat tube and give it and inside seat tube a good clean. You don’t want to get that stuck

another lezyne alloy drive fan here. The flexible tube works a treat

I use the inner tube first then release one side of tyre to remove tube then lie wheel on it’s side (the side tube came out of) then pump up furiously with track pump. Of course plenty of soapy water and removing valve core help too

Since going tubeless 2 years ago not had a flat until Saturday when I blew my rear tyre, 100yards on punctured spare inner tube, used last patch (used the others on kids bikes) then noticed it had two holes. Resulted in a 3 mile walk back to the car.

I had the same problem with my fox shock and I just wasn’t screwing the shock pump on hard enough. Don’t know if it was the new pump but seems a lot easier now.

Have you paid in full ? Because when I was I’m the shop a bloke came in for an (out of stock) bike his misses had been in to pay for (lucky sod) and they couldn’t find it because they said if it’s paid in full the computer thinks the item has Been taken. Don’t know if this is the same with internet orders. Worth asking them

I live near winstanleys and go in there quite regular for stuff and they are always busy and seem short staffed (always peak times though). Ordered a out of stock hope seat clamp last tues and they phoned me Sunday to say it had come in. Still had to wait in a que for 15 mins. Not really had a bad experience but it’s easier when you can just call into shop.

3 rings on front usually means long cage
    2 rings = med cage
    1 ring = short cage
But I use a med cage on 1 front ring due to larger ratio cassette 11-40

I spilt a bit of fluid when I cut my hoses and needed to bleed them so be very careful. Another pair of hands would be useful. Especially when cutting the hoses

My lad is the same age. Got him a frog 55 (I think) 20″ wheel and once he’d got used to the gears he wants to go everywhere on it. Easily does 10 mile rides down the canal. Seems very well built and light. They also sell them in bike shops so you can go and look at them unlike isla

Never had a single burp from mine running as low as 20-25 psi. Schwalbe tyres. Did snap one of the valves though trying to blow it up.
Aren’t Raceface buying Easton ? Hopefully the service will improve.

I’m in the process of converting mine the other way round. So it can be done. You need two end caps and an axle. Got mine from Germany but sjs cycles my have what you need. Had mine for over a year now with no problems with regular maintenance.

Was told the run was called two dogs cos of the kennels at the bottom. But not heard of two lads before so you could be right. FAST ? Not with me on it especially when I found out back brake wouldn’t work properly half way down. Resulted in a good over the bars, luckily on the grass. Felt like I was sliding on my arse forever.
SONIK. it’s up rivington first thing yesterday morning.

Two dogs !! £5 rescinded. It’s just the ground is higher under the front wheel. Had to go and look at bike myself when I got home and looked at that pic

34 with 11-36 on hardtail not a problem as long as your reasonably fit. Just swapped it to full suss and yet to try it. Might need a 32t
