Winstanleys said they would have them in shortly. Keep an eye on the stock level they said. Told me to phone them when it’s showing in stock and they’ll build one up to try.
DezB – bloody lucky to be possibly having £600 spent on them never mind a grand
If you compare it to the equivalent islabike it’s 800g heavier but £100 cheaper. The whyte 405 kids bike is a grand but the forks are much better and it has sram gx 11 speed.
Whyte t-130 yari? Bit over budget at £2300 but it’s got good reviews (trail bike of the year in one magazine), not got the spec of the yt’s or canyon but it’s a British brand and if anything goes wrong it’s only a trip to the lbs to sort it.
We climbed it last easter with our 5 and 8 year old. Easy for the 8 year old but the 5 year old got up ok but I had to carry her most of the way down. It was perfect conditions though
I got a last year’s model from there for £2000 instead of £3200 and he said that I’d almost got it for cost price, so they’ve got to be making a bit of profit on full price stuff. Just ask in store
A lot of shops will let you put your own money to it as well. I got a mondraker foxy xr in the Evans sale. £1000 from employer and put another £1200 to it myself.
I fitted one to a Mavic hub the other day with no problems at all and it replaced a 10speed sram cassette. I used all the spacers. I’ll take some pics later if I can.
Wasn’t really expecting a bleed kit. Never bought a new bike before but thought I’d of got tubeless valves. The wheels aren’t tubeless ready if you have to pay extra for valves are they. Didn’t even get the useless manual.

If a dog or horse is getting spooked or scared by bikes or anything for that matter, then it should be trained (don’t know if you can train horses) to sit or move to the side. My friend has 3 massive dogs and they do as he says no matter what is passing them. Most horse riders I’ve encountered think they own the land. If you can’t control it KEEP IT IN A FIELD!! And why are they allowed to shit everywhere it’s horrible.
Monday morning rant
