  • Who won the Surly Grappler in 502 Club Raffle?
  • Who else thaught this was about welding?

Contrary to all the posts saying don’t cough or sneeze, if you feel one coming on just brace yourself and get it done! If you don’t you will end up with a chest infection and when a coughing fit comes you will REALY know about it.

Hells teeth! is that Pete Burns?

A huge empty cardboard box! Ours even sleep in it whenever we get one.

I went from FS to HT a couple of months ago when I dismantled my El Guapo and built up an Evil Soveriegn.I will be the first to admit that it’s not as fast or smooth in tech situations (I live in the Peaks) but it is way more FUN! In my mind this is what biking is all about and I may never own another FS.As for being cheaper I’m not so sure as it has got me eyeing up Shans ECt.

35 no fillings and got all my adult and wisdom teeth!I wish the rest of me was as good.

    Stout.

Don’t get too exited about Riber castle (and zoo) as it shut years ago and is now in the late stages of being converted into posh “appartments” for wealthy incomers.

Apparently there is (according to QI) an American politician called Randy Bumgardner!

If moudiwaff means the same as moudiwarp does in broadest Derbyshire then it’s a mole!

They are my LBS and I have tryed to like them but they have such an elitist attitude. They don’t seem to realise that not everyone wants/needs a super custom built carbon wonderbike and refuse to sell anything else. Last year I went in with my mate who had saved £2000 to spend on a full sus trail bike, The cheapest bike that they said they could get was £3400 and we were told “sorry we don’t deal with the budget end of the market!” I personaly will never spend money there again.

Nothing dodgy and nothing in spam.

No a dfferent username that I usually use on several other forums. The only reason that I don’t use it here is that someone else uses it.

I’m Alice Carter and so is my wife!

Spesh purgatory 2.3 on the back and a Maxxis Wetscream 2.2 on the front. The Wetscream is scetchy on roots and rocks but in proper, foul, gloopy, deep mud absolutly nothing is within 100000 miles as good!

I was there when the mini tornado hit and have to say it was the scaryest bike ride of my life! There were trees coming down in front of me and behind me at one point and the lightning was something to be seen! When it had all died down and I was trying to get out one of the trees was too hot to climb over and can only assume that it was struck.

I found and old Webley and Scott bolt action .410 in an outbuildig on a friends farm and was complaining in english class to said mate that we needed some ammo, The teacher overheard me and next day gave me a box of cartridges.

EDWARD ELIZABETH HITLER WILL YOU GET INTO THE LAVATORY WITH ME THIS INSTANT! we are toilet inspectors.
Come on Eddie I can’t wait to get to Bridlington and start the snogging and mindless drinking. Thats my bird.
    Sqatting Neville.

Dodgy Bob McMayday the most violent travel agent in the world.
Even Unlucky Ted Suicide McGloomy had abit of a laugh, so much so his rectum prolapsed.
Hey Eddie I think the old crones got something.Yeh looks like dropsy.
    Hello 4444444.
    Birds!Booze!Budgerigars!

    Hurrah!

    More smoke more poke!

My grandad and his mates all used to have racing pigeons and they all used to say it was amazing how many cats went missing on bonfire night.

Yes I have one and it’s great! It has been on the bike for several months now and has been fine. I have had to stip/clean/regrease it once when it got incredably muddy and have fitted a home made boot made of inner tube to keep mud out.Not had to toutch it since even after the Real ale wobble which was VERY wet.Added bonus is that the new ones are stealth routable too.

When I was a callow youth in my first job we always used to go to a large local hotel for our doo where several companys would be having their own partys consisting of a meal and a comunal disco. This was ok for several years untill one year we were banned for several reasons,
#1. Due to the free bar and possibly one of the lads “hilarious” hobby of random drink spiking our M.D shat himself massively on the dance
floor. #2.The new lad had to have an ambulance for alcohol poisoning. #3. This was possibly the clincher, at some piont in the evening I had , due to alcohol and poor disco lighting on her part managed to chat up a very attractive hairdresser from a local salon and seeking a broardly flat area for our frolics had chosen the hotel mansger’s brand new BMW m5 bonnet. all I can say is that if you ever need to backscuttle someone against a car DON’T use the rear spoiler as as a handhold as they are somewhat fragile!

I’ve done mine twice in two years and can only reiterate what others have said about coughing/sneezing in that if you feel one coming just brace yourself and do it as normal to avoid chest infections (imagine what an uncontrolable coughing fit due to infection would feel like!)

Is cat AIDS the good type or the bad?

Seems I am more or less where I should be!
    Real age 35
    Fitness age 34.

If you see a fellow large bearded man on a muddy El Guapo feelm free to wave!

Several Tangle Foots (Tangle Feet?). Next weekend off to the Real Ale Wobble!

90% so not bad as i,m from the Peaks and so not “proper” north. Anyway don’t talk to me about the north not being sophisticated I’ve BEEN to Leeds.

Derbyshire Police also have a stickered up tractor.

Singletrack is good (fawn!) I have stopped bying Dirt as I am sick of paying for a book of adverts. MBR ins’t bad but I can’t be the only one who thinks that Doddy out of MBUK is a cancerous polyp on the anus of humanity.

I have one and for the money they are very good with many of the features of £100+ jackets. They have a nice biking cut ie have long sleeves and a drop tail. I wore mine for a few hours today at a VERY wet and muddy Sherwood Pines and at the end of the day I was no wetter than any of my mates in their branded (Altura/Endura/Mavic)jackets.

The only good thing about my job is that it is safe. I am poorly paid and have no prospects of moving up in the company as there is only one person above me and he LOVES his job and isn’t due to retire for about 20 years. I wish I had the cubes to give it up and do a job I enjoy or even work for myself but am too scared of it not working out and not being able to pay my mortguage.

I used to use shimano but went through a stage of snapping them. I now use sram on the same setup and haven’t snapped one since.

Thornbridge Jaipur. The best beer in the world! no ifs no buts no argument anyone can put forward is valid in any way.

    Beekeeper’s apprentice
The bottom of a ratcatcher’s mallet

I’ve got one and it’s brilliant! It pedals well and climbs better than my LTHT ever did.Reasonably light and decends well too. Deinately not soggy and REALY fun to ride. No idea about bearing life as I’ve only had it a since the start of summer and so it hasn’t seen much nasty, abrasive mud yet!

A girl I used to know kept her Sudocrem in the fridge for post ride application!

Some things just have timeless beauty!
