Out of the mouths of babes…and all down the back of your jacket.

Or in both beds in your campervan at 2am on a campsite in Devon while it’s pouring with rain outside

Little one in church one Sunday after a Sunday school experiment.

At some point in the proceedings the vicar in his sermon mentions “Jesus Christ”

Little one proudly, at the top of her voice to a hushed congregation “My Daddy says that !”

I’m not sure why you would want to do that but your best bet is probably to set Google maps to avoid motorways then add a few waypoints along the way until you have more or less the route you want.

In certain circumstances, I want to drive a route I choose, not what Google decides is best. There is a limit to the number of waypoints you can use and it constanttly ignores them, changing the route as it sees fit. Grrrrrr

You can plan an exact route on the TomTom website and save it to your account for use on TomTom phone app (or TomTom hardware if you want to go big time old school). Not free but something like £20 a year for dramatically better routing and traffic avoidance than any other mapping app/service.

Top tip ! Thanks, will check it out

it wont. ive done that a few times. saved the link to email, opened the link in email which takes you to google maps, and then it just totally ignores the route you planned and defaults to what it thinks is best.

That’s exactly what it does, utterly infuriating !

A pen and some paper and write roads/directions on it. You know, like wot we did before gps/Google

Thanks, but this is the 21st Century, I want to be enjoying the driving experience and not faffing about with bits of paper  :-)

Tried that, seems really painful and not possible to plan in advance, save and use later (perhaps ?)

Yes, bluetooth hearing aids. Mine work well when using the phone, but not brilliant for music, sound too quiet and tinny. I have some big headphones that go over my ears with my aids in, and some Shokz bone conducting ones too, which sound ok but a bit of a faff. The Shokz fit in front of my ears, they don’t actually fit into the ‘hole’ where the aids reside.

Has anybody described what exactly the Fujitsu people were actually changing in the live data ? Surely it would be blindingly obvious to them that the sub-postmasters systems wouldn’t balance if they fiddled with payments/cash/stock and that they would notice straight away. What exactly were they trying to achieve and why ? And who told them to do that ?

    And…

What obnoxious, vile creatures Paula Venelles and Angela Van Den Bogerd are/were. Jeez …… They should be in jail.

Might not be relevant, but I had similar locking itself-type issues with my VW and it turned out to be a faulty front door lock. Once that was replaced the issues went away.

I’m in too, slightly late as always.

I can’t bear to look in the mirror, so something’s got to change.

Was my initial thought but would be tough (or perhaps just not much fun) to fit into 10 days with travel either side. Also quite exposed in places.

I’ve done it in two trips starting at the midpoint, Vizzavona, both times. Heading North the first time and South the second time.

The Northern section was by far the harder and more exposed. The Southern end is far less ‘rugged’ and exposed although still fairly tough. You could do one half in a ten day trip perhaps. There’s a mountain railway to get you up to Vizzavona from Ajaccio.

There’s a black Augusta 109 N449C that’s been into Barton recently. He’s up at the moment heading East towards Huddersfield, looks like he may have just come up from Barton. Him maybe ?

Talking of Viagra, have a look at Tadalafil. 5mg daily dose works wonders, no more having to predict when that special cuddle will occur. On-line pharmacies such as Simple Online Pharmacy spares those blushes….
    Allegedly.

Watching Bob Mortimer drink a bottle of fizzy water in one go and the resulting after effects. A comedy classic.

Which episode was that in ?
I thought I’d seen them all, but don’t remember that !

Pass the parked Vulcan Bomber on your left and stop at the Touchdown Cafe, turn right opposite the airfield down the lane…

As of yesterday, the Vulcan is a bit closer to the main road than it was after over-running the runway during a fast taxi run. Bit of a brown-trouser moment for all concerned !

The Doctor featured in the Davina McCall programme is Dr. Louise Newson at Newson Health in Stratford Upon Avon. She’s doing wonderful things for the treatment of the menopause. There are many articles and interviews with her, might be worth a Google or even an appointment there.
