Not really a fan of bar end shifters but its a cheaper option I suppose.

Ive got bb7’s but mtb. Going to try to mod to work with road levers before probably buying the correct road versions. I’d defo use a 10sp chain. Chain rings have no preference imo to 9 or 10 but cassettes definitely do. Looking at lever prices there’s not much in it if you shop around so will prob just go sram and use the rear mech Ive got. One of my old front mechs should work so then just chain and cassette to get.

So there is a cheaper option to convert my 29er rigid to drop bar. Was going to shell out for new SRAM 10sp levers as have a spare new SRAM 10sp x7 rear mech. So if I bought the cheaper shimano levers, dya think it may save me a few quid allthough I’ll have to get a shimano rear mech? Hhhmmm.

9 spd mech wont work with 10 speed shifters. Different pull ratios.

Do you think I’m going to tell strangers on a forum about cheeky trails that locals have painstakingly built over years to have them wrecked and eventually over run, destroyed and closed by forestry commissions. Because that’s what happens. I’ve promised the trail builders that I wont breathe a word of the location and that’s the end of it. Please leave it alone. Go explore. That’s how it’s done.

Riding a Intense Tracer. I used three pieces of wire covered in rubber tube but left an inch of wire exposed on each end. Then wrapped them around the phone. Worked really well as tripod but also could stick the exposed ends into tree bark or wrap them around branches.

Lots of running up and down frantically trying to get back to bike and ride a section then leg it back to phone. Masses of cropping wasted footage of me running around / slipping over. Most annoyingly, the phones memory was nearly full and some vids didn’t get saved. Had to keep deleting other stuff every time, then I left my glasses at the bottom of a 20 min climb :-( Was going to put music over it untill I heard all the little birdys singing for me. Never again though!

Think I’m going to go 44/32 X 11/36 on my monster cross project but it’s not going to be for commuting. Mostly just xc rides with bits of road in between. No help to you what so ever then :D
