I have both and feel that the nuke proof are inferior quality compared. I have had to replace all the bearings, free hub, pawls and springs in the nukeproof generator hubs where as the hope pro 2's which I've actually had longer have just had new pawls and springs and a pair of new bearings in the front. This has been over 3 years and the nk's are starting to feel play again where as the hopes feel new.

You got a great frame at a good price in the right colour, how goods that. Its good to see another Ventana 29er in the UK.

Cheers Al, old buddy old pal. Just hope it stay's in one piece so I don't have to order a new one from you. I don't think I've met a more cycle passionate dealer since I spoke to Tim at sideways 😉

It was sold on ebay by mad cat cycles who originaly supplied it, on behalf of the owner who had built it up and ridden it once. There wasnt a mark on it and after last nights first ride, I'm really chuffed.

have got crank arms so everything apart from that

Not asking much then. Just a complete bike with no cranks. 😉

Alan ? You quoted me that for a frame that you or ventana usa no longer stock or make hence the import plus I wanted it in white which obviously has the up charge. That was the price for the last few ebb frames left in the usa was it not, of which there were none.

Cheers matt. 2011 forks! I wish. They are frankenforks. 26er Float 120 uppers on f29 lowers with world cup decals. Called mojo for the 2011 decals as they are mostly black, they laughed and said they havent even got the forks yet let alone the replacement stickers. Bars are 750 wide. Great stabbility for walking up hills. Yeah we have trees but luckilky they are'nt spaced at 600mm like what they is at canuk.

Ah well, new wheels not ordered yet and already had every thing else on the old ss so just the frame to pay for which was about £600 after shipping. They are £850 from the uk dealer plus £100 to have it in white but thats the new slidey drop out version which I didnt want. Bear in mind I dont have any warrenty on it though. Will be over for a potter soon steve. Maybe this weekend if any ones about.

You need a bike with silly big wheels for a sense of achievement after a ride? Or is this what you need to tell yourself with a bike with big silly wheels.

Um, I was talking about the no gears bit.

Taz, I read that the long board belt drive is flawed and needs development due to flex and belt line issues but shipping was $70 via usps, VAT and handling was £80.
Jas, as long as you loves it bab, I don't care.X

The web site has not yet been updated showing the new frame with slidey drop outs. You can't get the ebb one any more which is why I had to hunt for it and get it sent over from Sacramento.
    rOcKeTdOg
Alas, maybe you are stuck with your dinky wheels and no sense of achievement after a ride. Do you always do it missionary. 😉

So how can it drop the chain off the granny if the lower mech stops are adjusted up so the chain can't go through the gap. Is the mech at the right height on the seat tube. Chain line / bb spacers correct. Try removing a spacer if you've got two on the drive side ie 68mm shell.

A guy on here stripped some bars and polished them with brute force, nitromors and wire wool. They looked great but you would need to clear coat them or keep on buffing them up with auotosol or the like.

That's very little to spend on a complete bike compared to many folk on here. Some of peoples frames alone cost two, three, four times that much. You only live once.

whooooaaa be carefull. Once split a steerer tube because of one. loosened stem pinch bolts and turned bars 90 degrees for transportation in a van and crack. Maybe a little operator error but word of warning. Don't over tighten or do what I did without loosening top cap. It wouldn't of happened with a sfn. All sorted with fox warranty any hoo.

That's upset me. I'm waiting for a frame to arrive via usps. Just stripped down the old one hoping it will turn up this week. 😥

I would say large. Your the same size as me and all my bikes have been large except the one that was too small which was a medium. XL's are huuuuge.
