Fafed with bite point this morn. Got it really soon into the lever travel which is how I like it. Took out for a steep bed in and in no time at all they are back to where they were pre faf. Mega powerfull but I suppose I’m going to have to live with the bite point being very different to all my avids.
The ones. That may be the way to do it but surely if you pull the lever with the wheel out then try and replace the wheel the pistons will have moved out so you can’t get the disk in. They are already slightly rubbing. Should I wind the contact adjuster in / less bite then try your method. I will give that whirl in the morning though. Cheers.
Mine turned up today too. Both hoses too short some how and hate the lever feel. Full pad contact adjustment and new pads and the levers are coming much further back than I like, it will only get worse with pad wear too. May bleed again in the morn without the red pad separator in and with the pistons a little further out than they would be when fully on. Hopefully when I push the pistons back it will quicken up the bit point. It could also be down to changing hoses and bleeding when I’m struggling to keep my eyes open. Back to the drawing board.
My intense head tube is tapered from the middle out, up and down so very difficult to get any thing on the lip of the cups. As for using wood. Pah, the steel tube a was using was deforming on the ends. Maybe some frames and headsets are simpler to work on but mine. Bastard!
Lighten up folks. Ignore the moral issues for one moment and just post your pics of the gore like the deluded Mad Bill asks or wind your winging necks in. Strewth. You’re killing the “show us your” spirit.
Was going to afan this weekend, would it be worth doing brechfa instead as I’ve not ridden there and seeing that W2 is the only trail open other than sky line. It’s a 2.5 hr drive for me to afan. Bit far really just for W2 and cant be arsed with skyline.
Clobber, hope do a trials hub which is single speed specific with a steel free hub so cogs don’t eat in to it as much. Its a bit beefier internally to cope ssing but yeah, wide base cogs will be better on a geared hub.
Weighting /unweighting with the speed also has a big part to play in carrying you over things init.
Edit. Remembers last crash at 4mph on a flat fire road so says no more 😳
Quirky. I like it but I recon I would crack the seat post at the weld. Cant see if the rear triangle breaks for belt/sprocket change either?
Edit. Didn’t notice hub 🙄
ere, i’m a changed man……………bastid
I know, I know. I can see a couple of empty diet cokes in the pile but really, did you have to wipe your ass on the arm of the chair after your curry. 😯
Nope 😉 Have you noticed the clearance between the iscg’s and your granny ring bolts. I know chain device bolts are usually countersunk but even so. It’s tight in there. My only slight niggle on what seams to be a confidence inspiring push handle.
