For me its my geared 29er with drop bars and 38c tyres but it’s not really monster cross but to me it’s my monster crosser and I loves it.

You will be 10mm closer to the ground making crashing more comfortable.

Mine do this too. Just a crap design from fox again. Squeeze lowers together before doing locking each legs lever as mentioned above.

If you don’t understand how a crankset works you should really take it to a shop or someone who does!

If he’s still seeing the splines, he hasn’t tightened the crank on far enough.

Although I can see your frustration as it should be a simple task. It sounds like something is already knackered to me.
    OP – it is a 8mm allen key you’re using, not a 10mm?
    My initial statement still applies.

If it was me and I had made that mistake, there is no way you would be getting the bike no matter what you did. Just let it go.

You appear to have a positive degree seat tube, an eccentric offset rear wheel, no spokes, a fruit bowl for a helmet, one size 12 and one size 8 shoes. You will fit right in.

I’d be tempted (if you have one)to try an avid 185 adaptor as you may be able to grind off a couple of mm to make it fit. Ive used an avid 203 front adaptor with some shims and it works fine. No way I’m paying formula prices for adaptors.

Two tubes, co2 pump with spare bottle, levers and power link all in one bottle, drink in the other and jells in jersey pockets.

He was saying that although the 29er felt much smother and easier to pedal with constant torque application compared to the staling effect on the power delivery from the 26er due to the miniscule childs wheels hitting each step, he was almost certain that the experiment would conclude with the 29er exploding.

I’ll post some better pics up Friday, hopefully you’ll see the atrraction

Not while it says orange on it. I’ve had one and found it very uninspiring. Black forks would make it look nicer though. I realise it’s not all about looks but you had a choice. Imagine it in that purple with white forks and decals. I’d have to keep getting up to press my face against it and sniff new shiny.

misterfrostie, Just saying like. If I were to be given the choice I would have chosen something that A goes with the forks and B makes me feel like I have a nice new bike. It does look very dated. My bikes are quite plain to be honest. 3 white, 2 raw and 2 blue.

You could have had any colour you wanted and you chose silver to go with white forks? It looks shite and 5 years old already. You could have had any nice colour and had white decals! Jeeze!
