You should wear a welders mask. And nothing else but some grease.

Get naked, get her tiny knickers out of the wash basket, put one pair on my head and push another pair partiaily up my bottom then get on with what ever house work she has set me too. I’m not sure why, it just happens.

Mostly trees isntit. But seriously, if you’re going to ride after a night of rain it’s probably the best place to do it. psling will be along shortly.

Take forks out and put steerer in vice. Twist legs. Could be bonding to crown on those nasty cheap forks.

Been looking at this for a while now. The guy has got to be a real odd ball but with (some)taste.

You have to be pretty lucky to get it in straight with just the bolt and a hammer. If You don’t have/cant borrow/wont go to a bike shop, put some washers on the bolt that just fit in the steerer and put a nut under them. Then when you tap the bolt in and it starts to go crooked(and it will) keep hitting it back straight trying to get the washers into the steerer. In my experience it never goes in perfectly without the correct tool or something similar.

Do not ride it in the woods.

If you already don’t have enough to do in life without being part of the god botherers crew they why not sign up the remainder of it to footpath upkeep.

I can’t image the spacing between front rings is the same as a 10 speed cassette so it should work fine.

I’ve had two ebb models, sold the first as it just beat me up as an xc bike and never did feel particularly special. As soon as it was gone I regretted selling it as nothing else quite seemed as much of a hoot to ride. The first had 120mm forks, 90mm stem and high rise bars, mainly because that’s what I had kicking about, the new one has 160’s 50mm stem straight onto the headset and low rise 760mm bars. Totally different bike. Much more confidence inspiring and happy to ride down silly steep stuff where before I felt perched like you do. It’s ridiculous fun for a few hours in the woods. Perservering with set up may find you that sweet spot.

Clean under casette? Freehub? I had an annoying tick and it was grit under there.

Looks great. What could possibly go wrong 🙄

There shouldn’t be a spacer that goes onto the freehub first. Should there? The spacer that came with my slx 10 speed cassette goes between the smaller rings. What cassette is it?

Does it have two bolts on the non drive side arm and a plastic axle end cap like this.

If so you need to remove the plastic end cap and loosen the two bolts. Some have a plate with a little hook that drops into a hole in the axle which needs removing. Tap from behind the arm with a soft mallet. If it still wont move, remove the two bolts and put a flat bladed screw driver in the slot, twist the driver whilst tapping the arm again.
If it doesn’t have the two bolts on the non drive side arm, it’s probably not a hollowtech crank and you may need a crank puller.

Sorry DC, too many beers sat nt and two punctures meant I didn’t make the first 200. I did manage to stop for two pints at the free beer stop though. Even my mate fat tall slow mincy steve beat me. I will never live it down 🙁

Ok ok what I meant was car boot sale bikes, like Trek’s and specialized’s. They had no right to be there 😉

I disagree, less rotating mass would make more of a difference. You could save a pound on lighter forks and carry a fruit cake in you’re camel back to no benefit but save a pound on a wheel set with the same cake on your back and you will feel the difference IMO. You may fold a light wheel in half though if you’re a clumsy bruiser so you may not want to listen to me.

Cannock has been totally ruined by idiots who can’t ride for toffee. Skidding into corners and berms and making chicken runs. It’s a bloody write off. Was great for a while. I hope it gets fixed and folk learn how to ride. One weekend I was amazed to see people walking down the switch backs with halfords bikes and no helmets holding everyone else up. Go ride the fire roads FFS.

You don’t need a chain device and the ebay bash has the chainring bolts with it for £7. Just buy it now and try it for that money. As long as you have four bolt 104 bcd cranks.

36 ring and bash ring or just a bash ring. CRC do a FSA clear one that’s pretty and about £15 or bargain below.
