Be prepared for everyone to hate you.

I bought a ten year old Cayman S six months ago, its a 2nd car so doesn’t get used daily, but its staggering the amount of abuse that I have received from other car drivers.

Just about to order a Dartmoor Primal Plus, what colour did you go for?

I have both, the Dual position is nice to have when climbing on the hardtail, however I think the normal fork feels plusher.

I tried various foam/gorilla tape methods and each one failed, the split tube worked perfect first time and hasn’t lost any air (6 months), use the cheap 24″ tubes from Decathlon, they have to be cut perfectly as there is no excess.

From experience the breeze blocks soak up so much paint that I was slapping it on as thick as I could.
The problem with spraying is you would have to water the paint down and it wouldn’t give very good coverage. There are also the health implications of spraying emulsion

I have stealthified 3 frames now (2 alloy, 1 carbon) they have all been well ridden with no issues.
Wouldn’t do it to an expensive frame thats still under warranty.

I fitted a floating engineered floor over concrete, the planks were click style, looks good and have had no issues since fitting.

I am sure that GOV.UK web page has been updated with slightly different information.
I got my T5 reclassified last year without any decals and it also looks very stealthy

I converted my van to a ‘Motor Caravan’ and as it started life as a van, its still classed as a van from a speed limit point of view.
There is a lot of misinformation around on the web.

I agree about the A9 improving with the speed cameras, but its also because HGVs can now travel at 50mph (was 40mph), which helps the traffic flow.

Remove the valve core when pumping like a maniac, helps get the tyre seated on the rim as more air can flow.

I had a Sommet Carbon on order, and I got a chance to demo the alloy version at Innerleithen. Glad I did as I rode my mates Strive Race straight afterwards, and cancelled the Sommet the next day, and ordered a Strive.
Sommet felt like you were sitting on top of the bike and very cramped, whereas the Strive felt like it was an extension of your body.
The Strive came in 1 week.
I notice the Sommet CR has gone past its original delivery date.
Has to make a warranty claim on my last Canyon, and it got dealt with quickly and efficiently.

I had a Canyon Gland spare, the slot was 8mmx28mm, which seems quite big when you are drilling into the frame.

El Vino – PM me and I will send a photo (otherwise I will forget)

The Vitus cable gland just pushes in.

I have done it on 2 frames with no ill effects, doing it to another frame today, CRC sell Vitus cable glands that make it look factory.
One of the frames (carbon) I drilled then elongated a bottle cage boss.

So Canyon didn’t replace my full frame under warranty, but they replaced my chainstays, seatstays, rocker and bearings, and it was done faster than they quoted. Have just placed an order for a Strive CF…

My mate burst his rear 741 rim on a rock the other week, wasn’t a big hit either, got it replaced under warranty pretty quick

Currently 4 weeks into a Warranty claim on a Spectral, TBF the comms has been pretty good and they arranged collection. They are now quoting another 6 weeks for a replacement frame.
    Probably wouldn’t buy another…

We have just had a 5KW woodburner installed in a single story extension (12′ x 16′), there are bifold doors to the living room (14′ x 20′) and there is sufficient heat from the Stove to heat both rooms.
if we leave the single doors from the Livingroom to the hall or dining room open, there is very little heat transferred between rooms.

I have just bought the Agua2Go Pro 20l, only used it twice but seems really good so far, there is enough water to do 2 really dirty bikes (claggy mud) or 3 wet mud.

I had really bad RSI in my right arm because of excessive use of the mouse, my work bought me a penguin, which definitely helped but because I use the mouse for 3D modelling I found that I couldn’t get the accuracy with the Penguin.
I retrained my brain to use my left hand for mousing and the pain is now gone in my right hand. I now alternate hands if doing a lot of mouse work.

I rode from Edinburgh to Hexham last year.
Granites, Innerleithen, back road to Selkirk, Hawick, Bonchester Bridge, Kielder, Bellingham, Hexham.
It was a really hilly, windy route, and just before I left I decided to take my good summer bike, and it was only when I got to Kielder I realised that my lights were on my winter bike that I had planned to use, so the last 20 miles was a bit sketchy.

I have a Dartmoor Primal 29, its long with a 68 degree head angle.
Its quite a chunky aluminium frame at almost 5lbs, but they are well made with good paint, and the best thing is they are only £200.

Thats not going to be cheap, there is a lot of weight and its a fair old size, so would have to go on a pallet!

The CTD on my Canyon Spectral is very subtle, wish it was a proper lockout on climb mode, in contrast the Fox 32 CTD has 3 distinct settings.
