I have the Forclaz Trek 900 1 Man Tent, and have used it for 9 overnight bikepacking trips. Don’t have any complaints for the money, the only other tent I considered at the time was the Alpkit Soloist. The advantages of the Forclaz over the Alpkit are side entry with a slightly bigger porch and more headroom when sitting up due to the cross shaped poles.

I have an old Yari with a Debonair and a new Lyrik with the 2.1 Damper, and I struggle to tell any difference between the two forks.

I am 6ft and originally bought a Large Signal Ti frame, however the geometry didn’t seem to match the specification (using tape measures and comparing against a similar frame).
I sent it back and got an XL, which I run with a 40mm stem, there is just enough seat post for a 170mm dropper.
The geometry of the XL was similar to other brands Large frames e.g. Pace, Cotic and Bird.

Are you sure its the bars causing the pain, sounds like it could be tennis elbow, I have got it from using the mouse to intensively at work.

I had a 2005 Cayman S for 2 years with approx 80k miles, no issues with Bore Scoring or IMS/RMS, but did have to replace shock absorbers and quite a few other suspension components.
Drove really nicely after replacement of suspension parts, new tyres and geometry, but I fell out of love with it after spending a fortune on it.
Road bike fitted inside, got about 22mpg average.
Everyone else on the road hates you!
It would be fine as an everyday car, but as a weekend toy it was a bit bland, and I have replaced it with another Lotus.

caravelle in mainland EU is what we’d know as a shuttle: so 9 seats instead of 7, less leather, more aiport taxi.

Mine was a Shuttle with eight seats before I stripped it out.

I fitted a 12mm sleeve to a 15mm DT front hub, had to dremel the original endcaps slightly to fit the dropouts in my road forks.

I use my Signal Ti for XC, you get used to the slack head angle after 1 ride.

Like others have said the LWB can be a pain to park and manouver around tight spaces, but its worth it for the extra space over a SWB.
I had a SWB for 4 years and a LWB for 2 years and wouldn’t go back to a SWB.
I am currently running around in a courtesy SWB while mine is in for a front bumper respray (VW valeter jetwashed some laquer off my front bumper), and the SWB feels just like a car to park.

Car limits are M1, so Shuttle and Caravelle, have heard that some Kombis are also M1 but not sure.

Not all T32 are class 7 for MOT either, mine is a T32 Shuttle and is Class 4, also M1 so car speed limits apply.

I have a Shan GT frame in Rothmans colours that will be coming up for sale shortly, its an XL, but I am usually a Large (6ft) as they measure up a bit small.

Check the V5, N1 is designed and constructed for the carriage of goods with Commercial speed limits, M1 is designed and constructed for the carriage of passengers, and has car speed limits.
Hence my Shuttle is M1 and car speed limits apply.

On paper the Euro 6 diesels are more economical and lower emissions, however in real life driving they aren’t, factor in Adblu and repeated DPF regens where the T6 struggles to do 30MPG for 25 miles. My T5.1 was actually cheaper to run.

Unless you get a Shuttle or a Caravelle, my Shuttle is an MPV on the V5.

I was there in the summer, wanted to hire a trail bike, but they wouldn’t let us as we were riding the bike park. Had to hire DH bikes which were set up far too stiff, noticed at the end of the day was only getting half the travel, so make sure they are set up for your weight.
It was really busy and the main lift from Whistler is super quick, lifties weren’t the most helpful either.
Glad I rode at Whistler for the experience, but Squamish was far better.

I have a Spigen protector on my S9, they come with some special fluid (snake oil) to fit, they are also permeable so any air bubbles disappear overnight.

I have 20’s for summer use, but just fitted my winter 17’s, gives a much nicer ride and the van feels a lot lighter to drive, would go 18 next time. Also can’t get load rated tyres for a T32 in 255/35/20.

I bought a well used Spectral with 1501 wheels, the decals were pretty scabby so removed them with Cellulose Thinners and a scotchbrite pad, Got to be careful not to remove the black anodising on the rim.

I have Mk12 Joystick and the latest Diablo, prefer the Joystick as lighter with longer run time, but obviously not as bright, tap feature on the Diablo sounds good on paper but in practice it keeps changing mode when you don’t want it to.

I have one of those LIDL chain sharpeners and a LIDL chainsaw, I ran the saw without any oil which blunt it very quickly.

After watching some videos of how to use the sharpener I made an attempt to sharpen it, which went OK however it was hard to sharpen each tooth the same amount and doesn’t do the rakers.

I went to reassemble and the chain tensioner broke, so can’t comment if it worked.

I think I will get a proper file fir my next saw.

I did this, we had a nice leather sofa that I couldn’t give away, so thought I would remove the leather (for another project) and strip it down and burn the hardwood frame in my stove. It really wasn’t worth the effort, the amount of staples and foam/cardboard glued to the wood was ridiculous, and it took several evenings to strip down to something that could be burned.

[And is that paying for a replacement for your 2011 VW?]

    Funnily enough it is.
By taking out 0% VW finance over 12 months I got 2 services included, which made financial sense (at the time).

I am about to put his old bike up for sale, its a small Sunn Charger, Fox Float, Lyrik etc. which was perfect for uplift days.

Should have said he is currently 165cm, but was probably about the height of your son when he first started riding it.
