The middle section looks interesting, lots of lumps and bumps for sneaky attacks

Might prove too much for the sky train setting up a contador vs colombian lad (mind block on his name) as they’ve got the teams to put them at the bottom of the last climb fresh?

    Pfft. Bus mans holiday.

I’d have had a bbq and a few beers. They need to sort their priorities out.

Did they do anything nice on their day off? Took in a museum or a chateux with nice formal gardens, game of boules?

I’d only ever ridden mine at trail centres, then I took them down a canal towpath and they vapourised. Would you believe it?

    Altaz.

I’ll take your word for it on what started the twitter spat

I guess it cos we only really see these people through the lens of them media

    e.g.
Steven Gerrard: erm…likeermm done good, boys worked hard, like, ermm, gaffer, ermm result erm*

Balotelli: Car crash, fist fight, why me, sulkio, super models,*

They’ve got a few seconds of exposure and they can either give the party line or voice an opinion – Who knows what they’re really like but I know which one makes for better telly.

His missus was tweeting, or whatever is that people do but i seem to remember him stating (or intimating, or refusing to deny or something) on camera that he could have won at least one stage (the one where he admittedly dragged wiggo up the climb to finish in the town) by a big enough margin to take the GC. (that said I can’t be ar5ed doing the research to prove me right, or otherwise). Anyhoo it was certainly no secret that he was less than chuffed.

Froomes effort yesterday was frankly aweasome but he’s as charasmatic as a potato. Slagging off your team leader as he did in last years TdF would mark him down in my eyes, too.

Better climber than Wiggo – Yes
Better TT rider than Wiggo – No (although a lot closer this year than last)
Better MTBer than wiggo – yes
Better track cyclist than wiggo – no

Basically he’s the best cyclist on the scene right now but he lacks the star quality of wiggo and from a ‘making cycling popular’ point of view is the lesser for it.

    Everything,

my offer has dropped to £9.

Seriously though you could probably drop a fair bit of weight by going down to a 140/150 bike (particulalry ditching the domains) but why don’t you have a few runs out before you decide? Agree with the above, frame and fork swap could be the best route if you’re not happy after that.

    @globalti

I bet he rides alot faster away from Skem.

and you’d think he’d be a bit more covert these days. (maybe like riding a 5in full susser on big tyres into preston in a boiler suit)

Back to business:- i ride in lycra on the road bike and sometimes on the mountain bike and i look awesome – like michaelangelo’s david but with kecks on. Everyone else looks a bell end.

eXCEPT THE BLOKE IN FASTHAGGIS’ POST – THAT’S THE FUTURE, WE’LL ALL BE IN THAT, IT’S THE NEW 650B

it’s a terrible bike, you’ll hate it and the floor has fallen out of their resale value. I’ll give you a tenner and I’m cutting my own throat here. Honest.

10mm will make fek all difference, get on with it.

I had you down as a surgeon. they often manage to have a bit short or too many at the end of a job, allegedly.

If nothing else you’ve made some people laugh today.

Red is is 2x long climb with a long descent, north a bit longer and more varied South descent is a more balls out speed fest.

Blue is excellent fun, loads of mini bermed corners to rip round

If you’re riding up there from keswick be sure to get back down via the bridleway off the blue. Watch out for the drop at the end!

Think it’s the tyres that kill it = at a galnce but the not quite matchedness of all the other bits would drive me crackers if i owned it and put normal rubber on it.

(my bike’s a mess I’d like to add)

would you machine them to fit the ‘hole’ or just blank it off and use the thread lock as a filler?. If the former how and if the latter would you not have to bend the rocker out (a tiny bit)? Genuine Q’s – I knacker loads of stuff like this

Cav did well just getting back on the front after that crash, probably cost him that yard or two at the end.

I think the sprinters could suffer early on opening the door for a late break on the last couple of climbs – but then every sporting prediction I’ve ever made has been 100% wrong

Not actually measured it but bowderdale, Howgills – soooort of on the way home/there too, assuming your travelling from the south.

Styhead may also qualify but tricky/hike a bikey

Rosset Gill to Wasdale? Again hike a bikey

Escaped earths gravity the other day but luckily hit relativisitical speed before leaving the atmosphere and was pulled back down to earth due to my near infinite mass (or more accurately the earth and space was pulled back toward me)

    Most honest way —
You rode it two seconds faster than you did last time. Some one else may ride it a bit faster, or not, but you rode it that fast, cos that’s how fast you were. Some people who don’t use strava may have also ridden this route and they may or may not be faster than you but you’ll never know. But still you rode it two seconds faster than last time. Well done you. Keep it up.
