Drill some holes in the stump and pour in white spirit. That's the advice I got from a gardener – but I don't know how long it takes to kill it…someone will tell you in a second – probably.

Hi Gooner, High Lodge offers 4 cycle trails of varying difficulty, from the green route (family) through to blue (moderate) (they managed to find a few hills on this one but it's VERY easy riding). Then to the non-walkers ones, the red ((11 miles) this is more like it – man made low berms in fast flowing singletrack plus short bits of North Shore and jumps (all avoidable if you prefer) then finally the black route (10 miles) which has bomb holes, loads of singletrack and is really good fun.
The parking seems dear (£9.60 a day) but at the end of the day you'll think it was worth it. If you intend going back in your week you can get a cheaper ticket anyway. Good cafe and lots of other activities to do.
If you don't fancy that just play in Thetford forest and find the singletrack ! HAVE FUN ! HIGH LODGE PHONE 01842815434. And no – I don't work for them I was just there a couple of weeks back – in the summer week !!

Saw some ‘da vinchi’ (think that’s the right spelling at (spits on ground) Freeborn in Horsham. They were thin and maybe worth a look. Reasonable price too !

If you mean the HIGH LODGE one, I was there a couple of weeks ago and they hire out a variety of bikes, including bikes for the disabled, but we took our own bikes so I didn’t look into the prices but you can ring them on 01842810090 or <http://www.bike-art.com>
Have you been before ? Really good trails, well the red and black ones are but just a little short though well worth doing a few times !!
Strictly NO singing going round though Dannyboy.

My son’s girlfriend reads power meters for a living and got bit by another dog ‘that never bit before’. 2 days later, as I slowly cycled past an old guy with a walking stick and his VERY old AND fat Labradour it nipped me in the calf drawing blood. I didn’t have a go at the owner because of his age but maybe I should have.
Never thought a Labradour was a ‘dangerous dog’ before ! Just goes to show there is no such thing as a ‘100% safe dog’ I guess.

As long as you don’t ‘covert’ your neighbours wife you should be fine….

Cheers guys. Good idea jonb about the e-bay bit. I’ve tried just sticking to one gear on a ‘geared’ bike but I always end up cheating, so I’m thinking, if I actually bite the bullet and set it up I’ll have no choice.
Okay, maybe no knees left…..????

No one likes Leeds OR Millwall (because of the fans mostly) but can MK or Scunthorpe stop the Lions going up ? Let’s hope so – trouble is the first division will have to put up with them AGAIN !!!

Had the odd shin against pedal while off and walking the bike to park-up but the biggest ‘hits’ I’ve had are ROCKS flying up from the front wheel ! There’s a rocky downhill section on my way home, when I return offroad, and I’m starting to go slower and slower as my shin can’t heal fast enough.

I’ve been a few times but after a series of visits to correct neck and back problems I started to doubt it was really worth the 35 quid I was having to pay each time. Haven’t been for about a year now and have no plans to return.
Unconvinced of Brighton….

Pop into your local bike shop and grab a thin spacer to slide behind the cassette. Is it 8 or 9 speed ? Anyways that’ll solve it, probably just intolerant tolerances. If you get my drift…bit of wear.

Now I don’t race anymore I don’t need to put myself through those ‘EVERY SUNDAY NO MATTER WHAT THE WEATHER’ 4-5 hours training rides with my mates.
I miss the racing but not those miserable, freezing, soaking, grinding rides.
So probably ANY of those !
