I used Larsen TT's in 2.00" x 70a flavour last year. Very low rolling resistance in the dry, never got to use them in the wet.

Some novel ways to prevent reoccurance here. Blah, blah, blah I'll just pull it off to clear it every couple of days.

This advice is especially useful for all you singletons out there…

I'd lock myself away in a small, dark room and try to ignore it.

I often think that in situations like this the most effective response is to post a 'mildly disgruntled' whinge on an internet forum, using a pseudonym. Everyone 'knows where they are' then….

So – any of you wear those stupid pointy helmets?

Probably not – if you search through all the peer-reviewed research on Wikipedia ( ) no doubt you'll find that they cause shed-loads of rotational injuries when in common use queueing in the local takeaway or something…

I was once riding in a local 'Challenge' event and the bloke in front of me's seatpost snapped. He stopped and calmly fitted a new post that he'd been carrying in his back-pack. WTF takes a spare seatpost on a ride?

    TheSanityAssassin

It just clips in and out. As long as it's the right way round, sat in the caliper and, most importantly, has the new pads clipped in fully, then you'll be reight.

There's a spot in Slawit, on the canal bank by the floating cafe, that Tez at Colne Valley Cycles uses a lot and recommends. Can't remember the name though.

Blah blah blah… Why would you be wasting your time ?

Because I want to be able to drive to the location safely and in reasonable time, and I would like to ride some good quality trailcentre trails – not take half a day to get to somewhere, not be able to use the access facilities and then have to push my bike for several miles through deep snow before pretending that 'riding' in snow is 'ace' when it actually sucks the fat one.

    Next question?

Trim back the coiled steel part until it doesn't foul the nylon liner, then insert an old spoke to re-shape the liner.

    "++++Why the retarded thread titles?++++"

To get noticed you plonker. It's hard to stand out when some of the threads titles are:

Which tyre for Llandegla (who cares don't ride their, it's shit)
How many layers shall I wear in freezing weather (enough to keep warm)

    Everyone else cheers!

You're on the wrong forum fella. Try mlehworld.com, I reckon it'll be right up your street :-)

    Cool vid, by the way.

We set off in glorious sunshine…

…but it soon began to get grimmer…

…as the weather closed in on us.

Pootled around for 3 hours or so in the Golcar, Outlane, Scape, Bolster Moor area of Hudds yesterday.

Nice work. I'm liking the look of that spot.

With it being pretty compact, it could be a decent spot to use for your training days – especially for jumps and drops. Get in touch if you'd like showing round sometime.

It's the same storthes as hudds, but somehow they've managed to make it look longer than 55 seconds!

They're riding more than one line, that's why it looks to be a lot longer. If the weather holds this week then I'll be up there on Sunday.
