love my k2. The 1030+ i had prior was nothing but a royal p.i.t.a. with it’s crashes and hangs and such.
The off road nav is actually not that bad but you do need to make sure you’ve set the route type
in the dashboard’s route config …. road/gravel/mtb … currently only tried road and gravel though
so can’t comment or confirm about real mtb trails.

Battery life is “acceptable” and can be tweaked if you’re running low on a ride – about a week’s worth of commuting for me – 2 hours a day will see it needing a charger by Friday, but commuting is
display only as I don’t have any of the additional sensors connected for this and a couple of 4-6 hour weekend rides will result in the same – bit like my android phone really so quite used to
    charging devices regularly !

during “genetic” angina treatment … they spotted 140/105 whilst i was recovering
on the ward from angiogram/angioplasty (a non-elective too !!!) and immediately
    stuck me on ramipril.

Once home and checked 105/90 so I questioned the GP … and was fobbed off with
you were seen to have high bp so MUST continue the meds !!

Got back to riding (after stents 2 thru 5 …) and it’s regularly 100 or 110 over 80 or 90
    and no meds.

highly recommend the Omron m2 basic home bp monitor thingie

rudy project rydon with insert to resolve the “blindness” but steam up badly in colder
weather due to 2 sets of lenses ….. no pressure though as you can bend and shape the arms
    quite a bit.

Loved the (several) inbreds i’ve had over the years – finally stuck on the ex-terrahawk
tinbred i have now. raced (by him) crashed and abused (by me :) ) and everything from
single speed through 3 x and rigid !

rudy project rydon with insert for warmer days … yes, they mist like a b!?&^ … and a slightly older prescription pair for everything else.
when the main prescription changes (+4 ish with near addition) is just “retire” the current one to bike duty and keep the new for day to day life 😁

Fizik and northwave have quite far forward and minimal
Adjustment for cleats. Shimano have an extras few mm’s
    Of adjustment.
You could swap to speedplay which have an optional extender
Plate to add extra foie and aft.

    Re jigged my Mason this way. 2 x 11 down to a 1 x 11
Using 40t and an 11/42t. Love it’s basic simplicity :-)

richard at saltdog cycling for your lake requirements. excellent chap
to boot (see what i did there … 😆)
currently have mx145, mx176 and mx237 in wide … bloody comfy and way better
a wide fit than my shimano wides (r171, rc7 and xc7).
the mx237 uses a different last that is even roomier than the other 2.

+1 the kinesis ones … 2 years of all year usage so far and not a single
issue .. perfect, although i did have to “hide” the kinesis badge as they’re
    fitted to a Mason 😆

if memory serves. .. mavic use an internal marker on open pro rims. look for a
sticker or yellow paint on the rim when tyre and tube are off. think it’s
    opposite the valve hole ?

seem to recall it’s a “hole” rather than a groove though.

built up di2 adventure beastie.stick it on a turbo, pedal awsy, no shifting.
check the junction box – no lights. checked all the connections are good. pull
the seatpost out to check the batt…. hang on, isn’t that the battery over there
on the table ….. d’oh …. put the bike back together again :-)

used to be aliante only man until post heart op and then got exactly this !!!!!
top inside edge of the thigh or the areas between buttock and thigh. swapped over to prologo
scratch (134 wide) and no more tears !

have been an avid chamois cream user since it started – “happy bottom butter” seems to
    work best for me.

rode the aliante for years before this with no problems at all … absolutely no idea why
i should suddenly start having issues.

suffered “exercise induced” stable angina some 4 years ago. 80% blockage RDA and 60% LAD.
Doc immediately stuck me on bisoprolol, 75mg aspirin and atvorstatin.
Bloods etc shows cholesterol at 2.1 total, bp 120/80. Stented both of these and had ramipril
added to the mix. fast forward a year and another angina session … 75% blockage in LCX as well.
    Stented this too.
Cholesterol now 3 total and bp 95/60 with dizzies every time I stood up – ramipril was a knee
jerk to my stress (hate hospitals at the best of times) induced 140/85 post stent op #3.

Took my self off the ramipril and monitored back to 110/70 – 120/80 kind of range but have
spoken to the doc about this – he’s cool with it.

The beta blockes got stopped by me as I was getting cramps all the time – no issues since
and the doc said that the initial reaction wa just because of the symptoms and really should have
been re-assessed after the angioplasty :)

noticed increasing bouts of itchy skin/rashes/lethary and no, I don’t generally do the
whole searching for side effects so really had no idea until my wife checked up on the
statins ! given mine was quite low I stopped taking them but have had regular checks to keep
an eye on it. itcing/rashes/sweats no stopped and cholesterol 2.9 total when last checked.

52 when it first happened and now heading towards 57 – still riding as hard as the feebly
little pins will let me which equates to a max hr of 176 at the moment.

hhhmmm, 175 tall, 84 Inseam and ride a 54 (725mm crank center to saddle top)
the mason has a longish tt (551mm effective) but it’s real comfy set up like this.

seriously though, only ever seen it on the xtr brakes. never even fitted the
plastic clips on my slx/xt abomination and so far, no loose bolts.
