Love mine. Bit of a challenge on smaller frame/lower saddle setups but as stated so easy to swap bike to bike. I have one universal axle, 1 specific “boost” axle and even an old school qr one.

Have both a raptor 14 and a talon 22. Find the roll top bladders much easier to look after than the one Camelbak bladder I have with its screw in filler cap. I’ve also a uswe one that uses the same roll top design (it’s branded as a hydropak) bladder.
The access is awkward on the talon but ok on the raptor.

I’ve also got the Tailfin. Bought the light mount for it and already had a raceware direct GoPro mount for the tracer … love it 😊

Sounds very much like my Angina. Middle of the back between the shoulder blades ache. This progresses to a kind of burning sensation a little like “heart burn” in the throat around the adams apple area. I was fine until the ripe old age of 52 and then bang …. no warning signs nothing. now stented in rca, lad, lcx and one of the peripheral ones mm something or other.

I was anything over 110bpm and pains. Having works in a trust I knew the signs to look for and at one point I had the pain in the elbow so lots of alarm bells going off.

    Get it checked out NOW.

ugh …. but combe dingle isn’t that far from some trails in blaise estate or a short ride/drive to Ashton Court and Leigh Woods. Still don’t want it though ;)

Isn’t that the “Dave Talbot” events place ??

I have the whippet as a post heart op “treat” to get back to riding an acoustic bike.
So far only the Ashton court and Leigh woods man made stuff as the legs aren’t up to much yet. So far love it. I too suffer back issues and mine’s not caused problems as much as the Tinbred does. Built from the parts off the e- bike so not Uber light for a carbon build – just about 10kg. A mix of slx/xt. Hunt wheels and fox 32 rhythm forks.

So far really enjoying the whippet. It’s a bit more forgiving than the original 26” I had as that was a might twitchy to say the least. Feels planted but quick if you know what I mean.

    @daffy
    – have you got that route as a gpx or Komoot ?

Toro on the bars and my 1 zenith on the lid. Piggy back battery pack in the pack
    Just in case ;)
Works well on “medium” for most rides.

North side of Bristol for me so not too much in the way of quiet lanes – well there are but currently too far away and just getting myself off the e bike and back to old school “acoustic “ bikes after another visit to cardiology. The issue is the lack of fitness so the mind always finds other things to do instead of the mental “torture” of I’m not as good as I used to be. I sold the car so I now have to ride to get to work … bit extreme but hey, I’m back on the bike I guess !
I go for little potters around the block only 4 or 5 miles but it’s riding 🙂

59 (nearly 60) and had to stop all the “fun” riding epic mtb, audxing, long solo bike packing due to heart condition now that’s fixed it’s all down to real fun and putting a smile back. I still can’t climb for toffee and the longest ride currently is 50km (on an e-bike) but it’s a start.

I keep thinking of Eddy Merckx’s quote …. “Ride as much or as little, or as long or as short as you feel. But ride.”
Gets me past all the meds I have to take and the total lack of any form of legs that I don’t have anymore but I get out and I hear the birds and smile … :)

540’s … can’t remember how old 1 pair is but I bought them from noah
when he moved to his boat :)
Totally bombproof (or me proof and given my riding skillset means they’re tough !)

fend-off were good but the AL’s (used both 46 and 56) are just that little bit better. got some 56’s on the Bokeh and can happily fit the 650×47 or 700×42 under them :)

tried aaliante, antares and arione. only the antares came close to being bareable for
a short time … borrowed a mates bike that had one of the shorter modern Flites on it
and love at first sit …. but by christ they’re expensive!

what salad and red said but if really pushed (and I have had too once or twice) there’s some
armco on the side street between the pub carpark and the offices opposite or on one occasion we used the pub’s sign in the carpark entrance :)

I managed to “blag” a Focus Raven2 with the Fazua motor and 252wh (!!) battery. I “can” get it to around the 30 miles on a battery using mixed mode but support is never off as I’m suffering heart problems at the moment and awaiting surgery. I’ve got a second batter that happily sits in a camelbak and as 30 miles, for me, is 2 – 2.5 hours that’s about as much as I can take in one go.
It also gets me 2 days of commuting :)

Bonus of this motor is I can fairly easily turn it into an “acoustic” bike and save a big chunk of weight.

Also wide feet and found that Lake wide fit are great for my hobbit feet and paired with some XT 8120’s has proved blissful on both my hardtail and the Bokeh without looking too bad.

Had an Exposure remote on a Strada for a while but in the rain it was “interesting” !!!!
The Moon PR1600 i have is good but the remote buttons and the light buttons seems to
be the wrong way around – big on the light is the little on the remote … hhhmmmm.

Bontrager and Garmin have some integration but it’s a fiddle on the move.

had a 130 tdi pd from new (well 9 pdi miles on the clock) until very recently … 259k by
    this time.
Needed clutch, suspension, ac, steering bushes, major service and my commute is 9.5 miles so
it went the way of the crusher as I could only get a couple of hundred private and the breakers
scrappy offered the same – sad day as it was a good little car :(

I seem to recall the red ones used a “banjo’d” hose fitting whereas the Force are an inline one.
The flat mount ones are like my Force AXS calipers

had a Ti Evo post but found the cup that sits under the rails was cutting into
    the rail itself !!!

Have a carbon duro that is so seized up it’s never going to change saddle angle
without some fairly serious “attention” !!

Had an alien that sheared soooo many of those dinky little clamp bolts I gave up.

All in all use Brand X – you’re onto a better solution ;)

came from a mix of SPD/SL and speedplay on the road based bikes and M540’s on the hardtail.
Since the road bikes have basically disappeared/morphed into a road/gravel/tour/packing do-it-all
beastie the pedal/shoe arena has also morphed into SPD’s on evrything.
Some XTR 9100’s – nice wide platform for the shoes, XT 8100’s on 2 others which are quite nice and
a pair of the Look X-Track ones which have a wider platform than the Xt’s but not as wide as the XTR’s – oh and the clip in is way softer in feel than the Shimano ones. Not sure I like that bit !
As to shoes – Lake MX176 for daily commuting – bit soft and squidgy under foot and some MX238’s for
“fun days” as they’re carbon soled and plenty stiff :)

Much prefer the current setup of double sided pedals, walkable shoes and cleats that last an age.
