You can remember to send a birthday card to the daughter of the stepson that you had no relationship with as he had already moved to the states when you got together with his mother, but you can’t remember your Grandchild’s b’day.

    WHAT THE **** IS THAT!

No, google a bus transfer company and use them, way cheaper and you won’t use a car in resort anyway.

Try to avoid second hand boots if poss, boots are the most important part of your skiing experience as poor or knackered boots can cause extraordinary discomfort. Used boots will have moulded to the previous users feet so will either be too tight in certain places or will slop about.

Don’t get pressured onto difficult runs, some blues, almost all reds, just cos somebody else is going. You will almost definitely hate it and may hurt yourself. Instead take a music player and enjoy a little music or some peace cos it’s possibly the most beautiful environment in this world. Nothing lovelier than sitting and enjoying the beauty and the peace. There are always places where you can arrange to meet better skiers for a beer later in the day or at lunch.

Get yourself onto snowheads forum and ask tons of questions, they are a decent lot on there.

Outstanding, should be shared all over social media.
You may say that we should all close those accounts but lets be realistic it won’t happen, education is the key.

AlpineStars vector tech shorts are very good. Used them for a few years now after hurting coccyx and hip in various crashes.
Get hot in the summer though.

Do you live anywhere near a film studio?

On it’s way to filming for Bond25 no doubt.

It’s odd I suppose cos it was the builder that laid it and we didn’t think anything of it until he asked if we had been dragging stuff across the floor.

    It’s been down for 10days.

It’s ready mix and the edge is against an existing door.

It’s between 75mm and 90mm deep, it has gone down to level the extension floor with the existing house floor to form one room.

It will never be seen as the latex, then amtico will go over it.

Does it need re-doing from a structural point of view?

If I drag my foot across it (wearing trainers) it does not break up or crumble.
The screed was not covered to keep moisture in.
It will have a latex self levelling compound on it and and then amtico floor.

I was in it on Saturday, when the sun shone it was awful in there. Stank and was very hot.

It’s been suggested elsewhere that I PVA it with a kind of rough PVA paste to bond the flaking floor paint.
Then get it level using latex self levelling compound.
Then throw whatever floor i want (floor tiles) onto it.
    Would that work?

    Anyhoo.
Would I need to get the existing concrete paint up before re-priming and re-painting?
Could I throw down the click vinyl floor tiles as it is without levelling it? Link btw?
Am I right in assuming I can with the foam floor tiles?
If it has to be levelled, can it be done without taking up all the existing paint?

    @sarawak
What a particularly unhelpful comment, you’re one of those little keyboard warriors aren’t you. Don’t you have anything better to do than waste your time reading threads and posting useless comment? Were you bullied at school or something?

Thid is what it looks like currently, half the existing concrete paint has lifted as you can see.

    20190623_202241

It’s uneven, looks terrible, is dusty, I’m constantly sweeping up flakes of concrete paint and is generally not a nice place to work.

I don’t want to get all that concrete paint up and am thinking of fitting the BandQ autopro floor tiles after doing whatever work I can to level it.

Can I get the floor level without taking up the remaining concrete paint?
Should I simply re-concrete paint it?
Are there any better options given the situation?

As you can see they have lead flashed directly onto the timber frame then felted over.

Is this right and most importantly is it waterproof?

    thered

Is the lead flashing a normal and adequate way of waterproofing that area?

Is it possible to fit gutters without compromising the lead flashing?

I had no idea they had different spec’s.
It’ll be about 100cm’s tall if that helps.

The microspline farce means I have had enough of Shimano and I’ve insisted on using their stuff for the last 15 years cos of the shifting quality.
Oh and the constantly changing I-spec compatibility.
    Off to SRAM I go.

    thered

Is there any more feedback on this?

I’ve always used shimano but the microspline bullshit is annoying me cos I can’t get a freehub for my King hub’s.

There are lots of horror stories about mech’s being eaten in SRAM’s mechanical groupo and that concerns me.

@Drac They’re everywhere mate, 2 kid’s in Stafford talked all the way through it. One of them had plainly already seen it so was saying lines before the actors, specifically the final word that RDJ delivered.

We currently have a 20 year old boiler running on domestic oil.
We have one bath, one shower, 4 sinks, might install another shower.

I’ve had a set since January. They replaced 160mm Lyriks that had a Luktkappe.
They don’t seem any less stiff than the Lyrik’s although the summer will be the test when I make more mistakes cos I think I’m sic.
They have a better mid stroke than the Lyrik’s, far better supported even taking into consideration the Luftkappe which helped the Lyrik’s a bit.
They are significantly better on small chatter thank the Lyrik’s, the CoilPair system works very well and makes them as smooth as any rear shock I’ve ever used.
They’re the first fork I’ve used that feels ‘bottomless’ and doesn’t have a flat spot somewhere in the travel.
    I’ve previously used XX world cup Rev’s, Bos Deaville’s, Pike’s and Lyrik’s.
