Private seller, does that change anything?

Had a bel air which was great, then the padding collapsed, replaced it with bel air 2, that was awful, replaced with ergon sm which is excellent, didn’t like the ergon sm endure though.

That’s what I though TJagain but it would be a very difficult job given that it’s almost all behind panels or plaster.
However Flaperon gets a gold star, on it like a car bonnet.

I assume the cartridge contains the ifp? So if I get squish it’s off for a service?

Not sure if this is allowed but I bought one of the Lambo Sian’s in the Amazon deal last week and have discovered that my wife has got one too. That looks hella slack. 4 manual says 6 links at no load so if anything that should be too tight 🤔

I’d be checking the range of the mech then whipping a few links out of that.

Silly point but 4 links – you did add 4 links (eg 4 pins) not 8 (eg 4 pairs of plates) didn’t you?

The chain length is 4+speedlink.
The B-Tension is set using the marker on the back of the mech when in the top sprocket.
However it is this slack when in the bottom sprocket.

Without context, nobody can help you understand imo.
Both seem like they need help in different ways though. Professional help to be honest.
If you want to be a friend, recommend that to them.

I found another screw of the same diameter, measured the length required using a steel rule and went to my local hardware store (FWB in Stoke on Trent) and they just gave me half a dozen.

They have stores in Wrexham and Truro too if you’re near. Anywhere like that can help.

It’s routed as Shimano suggest.

I have a brand new Brand X Ascend post that I bought in April/May for my son’s Five.

Thanks all, i had described it wrong, cranks were spinning when freewheeling which is obviously bad.

The spacer hadn’t come out when removing the hyper glide driver, so it had 2 in there when the microspline driver was fitted, now sorted.

What drive side spacer?
The one fitted to the crankset?

The legend that is Jedi sorted me out, it turns out that it was my weight distribution, too far back so my forward foot was spinning off the pedal.
