I work in the trade and this doesn’t sound too legit to me. The new owner should have put the car into his name as TECHNICALLY but not practically that now denotes title.
I don’t like the idea that he’s only had it two weeks, unless he’s a trader there is no reason for him to be selling this car that fast.
He bought the car 2 weeks ago but his mate got it for him??? Sounds UBER UBER suspicious.
Matey, treat this with extreeme caution
This is going soon, in fact this week if the new ‘un finally arrives but is a lovely bike to ride and allows me to ride more aggressively than my slack skill level suggests
Gains:
No shifter
No cable
No derailler
Less maintenance
Cheaper to run
2 fewer chainrings,
4 fewer chainring bolts.
shorter chain
more mud clearance
fewer mud traps
less thinking
less faff
So why do Shimano make a triple chainring for the new stuff at all :?
Think I might go with the extension cable seatpost idea cos the battery packs too big for the stem, although I haven’t got a clue what to do if I get a dropper post.
Already got a L&M on my lid, hmmm, wonder if the battery for that would fit?
I have 3 bikes, do very littl emaintenance on any of them beyond cleaning them after almost every ride and almost never have anything fail. Lost a chain about 9 months ago was the last prob.
I think I’d prefer something waterproof cos I’m clusmy as a clumsy thing. How do these things tell you when to turn, do they beep at a waypoint or something?
So Satmap a clear winner at the mo, how would I plan a route for it.
A mate tells me he uses memory map on his pc for the route then simply saves it to his Garmin Etrex, can I do that with the Satmap? Does it use an alternate route planner?
It just makes me shudder to think about buying it. My favourite top ever is my Swobo sleveless merino jersey with the Beer on the left breast but it keeps shrinking so I want to replace it but can't find something that floats my boat.
