First rule of Depression Club: We Don’t Talk About Depression Club!

Having been there, got the t-shirt, taken the t-shirt back, exchanged it for a smile, I can totally empathize. It’s a real sh!tter when you can’t trust your own thoughts or judgement. Counselling was a big help. Try and stay on the bike as well or start a mancave project.
I’m still very much aware of slipping back but you learn the signs and also how to nip them in the bud.

EDIT: redsox – nothing amazing will happen, trust me. I’m hoping for the same. Try something new, even if its a curry you’ve never had before. New things fire up the senses.

I loves Elixirrrsssss but I know the problem you’re having. Crap builds up on the pistons and they end up sticking. IMO the seals are the problem. Sometimes a wipe with some dot oil can clean them up a bit.
Don’t use a screwdriver directly on the pistons coz they’re brittle as ****. Use the pad spacer.

Not really, the screws were corroded so had to be drilled out. Also, it’s easier to get to the electrical connection.

For what it’s worth we have a static IP with BT. Would that DNS test still work? I’m assfuming it would.

All the DNS’s were flushed at this end, even on the ones that don’t Google as much but to no avail. I still reckon it was BT’s fault.

aaaaaaand we’re back in the room!

It has now mysteriously started working again. I made three attempts to get through to BT Business without any luck. It started working about 5mins after i’d requested yet another call-back.

So, if you have this problem, in summary:

Do Nothing.

Just changed to our backup router/modem and it’s doing the same.

blokey here has had limited success flushing his dns but the same trick hasn’t worked on the rest. I suspect the router is fudged after reading a similar story on bleepingcomputer

It started on a few last week and now know one can get it.

Why do I get a sudden urge to back up everything?

Every other page in the world opens apart from anything with Google innit. It just sits there trying to open but fails 🙁

Gonna try unplugging the hub and attaching one direct to the router to see what happens.
