rules is rules in my opinion, if we didn’t have rules where would we be..?

    FRANCE

    and no one wants that!

I like things to be black and white. Grey areas like these cause more trouble than they’re worth. He knew the rules and chose to ignore them on numerous occasions (9pts already on the slate etc).

Tell him to suck it up and take responsibility for his actions. If he can’t use public transport can he work remotely?

(having children makes you more right wing and less tolerant it would appear)

still too busy to read this fully but my experience with SP bikes has not been that great. Killed an SV2000 and the San Andreas I had only really felt good at 20mph+ Having said that though the San Ann was probably the most forgiving bike I’ve ever ridden. Currently have a Helius FR and have sold all my other bikes as they became redundant.

courtesy of Morrisons. Their charcoal is very good, ready to cook in under 20mins but you’d have to pile it on if you were doing food for more than just a couple.

yet another vote for Nicolai. I’ve got a Helius FR from Dec05 which is still going very strong. I’m 6’2″ and peaked about 15st last year. I had to have the BB reemed and sleeved coz HTII is shit and the sloppy arsed shimano cups killed my threads.

any excuse for a pic, watch your eyes I’ve had it resprayed 🙂

too busy to read this properly but a Horst Linkage is the way forward. Licensed by Spec and good enough for Spec/Nicolai/Titus/Ellsworth etc etc

so if Hora’s bat broke while interfacing with fido’s conk, could I claim the cost of Hora’s bat off the owners?

Couldn’t get any wall spikes last night and the mutt got in again yestersday. The owner came round to get it and the wife gave him an earful. She reckons she can take him and his missus anyday if it kicks off 🙂 They’ve now put this lame arsed peice of plywood against some of the fence to stop it. First bit of rain and the plywood will turn to mush. Still gonna bang in some wall spikes when I can get some.
Until then I might keep hora’s bat near the door incase fido gets over AGAIN and snarls up a storm coz he can’t get out.

I think I have some get off spray somewhere, good call.

Why do I keep thinking a moat might be a good idea?

    following on from Clubber
I run a STW key cutting enterprise. Just post me your keys and directions to your house and I’ll endeavour to get a key cut. Obviously I’ll need to know when you’re in/out as well.

bigsi – I appreciate the effort but I’m still more in the “pick axe through the flea bag’s temple” camp.

The fence is already quite tall. Fido is trying to get across and over into next door coz they have a dog. Next doors dog is cool! Hoops jnr plays with him all the time. It’s the mutt at the end of the garden that’s the worry.

hora – that’s what everyone else does, isn’t it?

I’m going to try the spikey fence stuff first as I don’t feel confident the neighbours will take any suitable action. If it persists then I’ll be forced to take alternative messures [/devilish laugh fading under it’s own echo/reverb crossfade into orchestral string section playing high pitched sustained note with sharp ending, fade to black for 3secs, short low level laugh reprise]

Is it worth consulting the fuzz on this one?

edit: dog is getting over not through, snare wouldn’t work

I toyed with doing this but ended up sticking a 9sp on. It’s turned my commute into something much more versitial.

A shorter stem would cock up the rather amazing ride, been there done that. This (believe it or not) is my cross country bike. The 100mm stem is perfect for long hauls in the Peaks. I doubt the layback post would work for me as I’m long on legs/short on body.

    It’s all about personal choice.

ps. I live nowhere near Calderdale

ooh, you and Pete would practically be neighbours. I saw a couple of 2up2downs on Strines Road which looked nice. They’d be well cheap now.

I could just turn the skins inside out to make them black but then I’d be conforming to the masses. Can’t believe I didn’t think to get the spring done at the same time, DOH!

god yeh, stick it on the top. I use an old mech wedged open with the plastic bit that comes with it to help you set it up. It’s never come off once.

lowey – it was stripped to it’s bollocks before being blasted’n’powdercoated. Once in bits I put old bearings and bushes in the appropriate holes to protect the tolerances.

Still building it up but it looks pooh hot, even with the old bits on it.
