Slightly narked by what TJ is saying. Here’s why, the receptionist here is on waaaay less than me and yet because she claims an element of tax credit she now lives in a rather nice council house (no really, it’s nice) she has a council man to come and fix everything in her house and huuughely discounted rates, her rent is next to flip all, she qualifies for cool stuff like leisure keys, has free cavity wall insulation and solar panels, and her kid is on a short list for a bursary for a school that I could never afford and my kids won’t qualify for.
She’s not playing the system in any way but has far more disposable income than me’n’wife who both work full time.

I know over time it’ll probably all come out in the wash but for now it seems mental that she’s better off than me.

My salary has crept me into the higher tax band but I rely on CB to stop me going in to the red each month. Mortgage + nursey fees + the unexpected are killing me. Why only yesterday our toilet threatened to cause a water feature in the kitchen below but I had to fix it myself coz there wasn’t enough to cover a plumbers call out fee.
I still don’t understand how I’m borderline struggling on the money I’m on but at least I’m now an expert on siphons,plumb pliers and flapper seals 🙂

I work up the road from the local Lambo showroom. I’ve seen them all including a couple of Veyrons. The Lambos alway look cheap when they’re next to a spanky Ferr or a tasty Porsche GT2. They’ve even got a top bellend Audi which attracts more attention. Personally I’d prefer an AM Virage.

I have an awesome job with good pay for my field but I’m totally unmotivated and fed up with it. I have no incentive and it’s showing in my family life as well. Fortunately the missus takes no crap and inserts regular rockets up my arse. If you’re waiting for a lottery win or similar to come along then just forget it. IT WON’T HAPPEN, and if anyone comes along and says you have to make it happen then tell them to f### off…and then make that happen 🙂

Every few rides I squirt in a bit more grease. I’ve found that doing this has made my current set last about 3years with absolutely no problems whatsoever. They’re only knackered now beacuse of a night time related height mis-judge rock interface scenario. I could probably keep using them but it’s chrimbo and I fancy treating myself.

I had a Lupine Edison 4 for years. 900 lumens of Bi-Xenon Awesomeness. After the 2nd bulb blew I decided not to spend another £110 on getting it replaced. Economics and 2 kids forced me to buy a £150 MagicShite MJ808e instead. 1000lumens and 5+hours on max is claimed. The beam angle is more spread so it doesn’t seem as bright as the Luppie but the extra capacity means I can stay out much longer. Win some, lose some.

In an ideal world I would have bought a Troutie.

You’re bias to the visable spectrum will be your undoing. “See” is the wrong word. If you were to clip something at a gnats chuff under the speed of light then it would smart a bit and I dare say there would be some localised chaffing BUT if you were to look behind you, you’d see what you hit disappearing rapidly in a blue shift of light.

Acid Loops is good for arsing about with. Dead easy drag’n’drop, cut’n’paste sampler/sequencer. I don’t think my old version has midi though.

I’m a sound engineer by trade and I’d say get ProTools LE and an Mbox for recording/mixing. I’d avoid Behringer mixers as they have very bespoke power supplies which, when they blow, are nearly as expensive as buying a new mixer. A Spirit Folio mixer is good for small jobs. IMO Yamaha still make the best mixers. If you can get ‘active’ speakers. As for mics…..depends what you wanna record. Langevin make some alright large condensor Neumann style mics. AKG414 is probably the best all-round mic.

probably not the best description, the water you’re bleeding might be flowing from the lockshield end. It’s pressurised and the only escape is your bleed hole so it effectively flows backwards round your system. It would explain why your valve is magma, your rad isn’t and you have to keep topping up.

If the bled water is cold but the valve is glowing then it would suggest it’s the reserve water that you’re taking out. I still reckon the problem is at the valve end but anything that blows it through is worth a punt.

winding out the lockshield might just shift whatever is blocking yer pipes.

what colour is the water from the bleed hole?

try ‘helping’ the valve underneath with some pliers. ‘help’ it up and down a few times with the heating on. Sounds like you’ve got a blockage of some sort. My guess is gunk around the valve pipework.

I’m taking my nads for their first jaunt into the darkness tonight since being ‘done’. It’s been three weeks since the cut’n’shut so bollocks crossed it’ll be fine.

Should be a hoot.
