Your shock/pivot bushes are worn and the lateral movement is killing your shifting.

I saw a couple of wobbly joggers go past. Cue local abusive oik to hurl some fat related insults. Cue me, “least they’re doing something about it, what are you doing about your height short ass?”. Cue his mates pissing themselves.

    In summary: ****’em

I used to live a stones throw from the McVities factory. I had to move before my arse became permanently wedged in the door frame.

I once rode around a corner on Dartmoor to be greeted by a buzzard sat on a fence post having a little stretch. Tip-to-tip the wingspan must have been pushing 5ft. With a few flaps it p!ssed off over the field and left me a few pounds lighter in the pooh dept.

155mm M777 Howitzer. It’s TITANIUM and everything so only needs a four man crew. Put chocolate in the barrel, wait and then BOOM!

Having heard the problem I can say it’s not a flakey connection in the XLR. However, when the problem is happening it won’t hurt to give it a highly technical wiggle.

test the radio mic receiver battery as well…..doesn’t hurt to rule everything out and prevent further arse ups. Also are you sure the boom mic requires it’s battery AND phantom power at the same time???? turn the phantom off and see what happens.

In my apron and for what tits worth it could be a dodgy receiver but if it’s still happening on the boom mic then the problem screams of a duff battery.

That sounds like an earthing issue to me. I’ve also seen simillar when the battery is on the way out. Is there anyway you can send me a sample of the hiss so as I can investigate further? mp3 will do.

It’ll be the XLR mic connection. If the mic is phantom powered and you’ve got a dry joint somewhere then you’ll get all sorts of intermittent sound issues.

I too is trying to shed me winter coat by making a more concerted effort to put the fork down. It’ll be a lot easier once I’m back on two wheels again…[shakes hurty wrist[/url] at the sky while gritting teeth]
