I wanted a t5 in 2010 but bought a vivaro on price. 3 years newer and less miles for the same money.
The t5 looked better then and still does now but I prefer driving the vivaro to my mates vw.
Gear box went on mine at 110k costing £450 and also on my mates vw at 125k costing £700.
I’d say mine has devalued by around £4k over the 4 years I’ve had it. Not sure how much the vw has lost.
It’s almost trade in time for me, again I’d like a vw, but will prob buy another vivaro or maybe a swb sprinter.

Oh well, it’s done now and bought from a local shop so havnt done too bad.
My covert was the stealth, gone for the red this time.
I’ve got fox 34s ready to go on, but will get the black pikes if I find them on sale.

I’ve only just got into road cycling so I’ve got nothing to compare it with, but I’ve just entered my lbs’s event.

Loco, mine still blows through loads of travel when climbing, a little noisey but can put up with that.

Only for funerals and fetishes, if you can’t do a job without a tie, you probably can’t do it with one.

All my local bike shops seem to be doing really well. They all have new vw vans and live in nice houses so I don’t think its as bad as some make out.
They seem be selling a good amount of road & mtbs every week.
I buy 50/50 online/lbs now, but bought shorts & helmet & lube so far this week at my lbs as I’m working easier hours and able to call in.

Almost 20 years now. Comes and goes, usually 2-3 times per year and lasts around 6 weeks.
The gp is totally stumped when I tell him I don’t want a sick note.
Been going to private physio & chiropract for years but not much help. Tried marihuana, most types of prescribed & unsubscribed pain killers but you can’t polish crap.
Had a private mri scan which showed three buldging discs, but I couldn’t afford the £16k opp so went back to nhs.
Eventualy this year I got to see an nhs specialist who agreed to operate.
So a few weeks ago, I get the call to go under the knife, stay in hospital overnight, get showered and compression tights on ready to go into theatre, when the surgeon comes to see me to tell me he isn’t going to operate as I’m not in pain at the moment and the procedure should only be carried out when the pain is full effect. Gives us a ring when it’s next bds and we’ll get you another mri scan. Great!
I’ve now got to sell my house to pay to get it repaired privately or put up with it for the rest of my life.
The thing that has always helped me is cycling, the position seems to take off the pressure so I’ve stuck with it and ride as often as I can.
The best pain relief I have found is laying on the floor, holding onto a door frame and getting someone to pull on my foot, it’s hard trying to find someone happy to try to pull your foot off, :) but when they do it releases it for a few mins.

Good luck, hope you find what will help relive yours.

My 7 year old has rode the blues & 1/2 the reds on a 24″ hardtail if that helps.

6 weeks done, still think a smoke would be nice right now, every day, but it’s been so much easier than I expected.

I’m about to buy new cranks ready for the new build and considering trying 165mm to help make up for bad technic :)
6ft tall and use 175mm atm and regularly have pedal strikes.
What’s the pros & cons of smaller crank arms?

It’s a totally different trail now that’s it’s dried out. Riding it again tomorrow and hoping to have the legs to ride the twrch after dinner.

Cheers, just spoke to trail kings, slightly better deal else where though.

Sorry Waldo1, I’d rather pay the extra £100 for a new one for the warranty.

Waldo1 whats the size, colour and price?
I’ve just added spicy back on to the list. I’ve had a zesty & really liked it.
The on one looks really good v.f.m but I’m not keen on it or the enduros

Yes! I like the konas, off to google nearest dealer. My lbs stopped selling them a few years ago.
    Do they sell frame only?

I’ve not seen or heard of knolly before, very nice.
Yes, I’ve also been looking Bronson’s and like them, but I don’t think there any large frames left.

Had g.a a few years ago also for g.b, relived to get it out and no probs at all without the g.a.
I’m laying in a hospital bed now (had to knock off hospital wifi as it wouldn’t open this thread) waiting for g.a as I’m going in for spine surgery first thing in the morning.

Mine is useless, but a spring out of a pen helps the lever return. Fitted under saddle, with inner threaded though it.

Agreed, opening in wettest winter to date undone a lot of hard work.
Will be a good trail when it dries out and gets some maintenance.

Muddy but still good and will get better, but I was disappointed with the amount of new trail (or lack of) seems bad value for money if I’m right £370000 was awarded from the wind farm development but most of the blade trail is original.
Maybe wrong with figures and happy to be corrected.

Still going, day 17 without a smoke, so nice going for a walk with the kids today and not walking a few meters away to stop them inhaling.

Day one of being a non smoker has just began. I bought a 10 pack on the way to work instead of the usual 40.
Read Allen Carr over the past 3 days and I was relived not to come to a page that said you’ve already given up now.
    :)
Followed the rules, smoked my last fag and crumpled up the remaining 3 fags.
