Opened today, steeper & muddier than all the others and a great addition to the park.

The official line is-helmets must be worn at all times.
The single track climb is much nicer than the road and I’m not built for climbing :)
Once at the top, It’s worth sessioning the top 1/2, down to road crossing as the bottom 1/2 of the climb is steeper.

Just built up a transition patrol but after one ride, I’ve done my back in again and can’t ride it for a few more days.

Just sold a bandit to buy either a patrol or a nomad. Decisions uh

The forks are giving me a head ache as I need 160mm and I’ve got a set of 150mm pikes & a set of 150mm 34s.
The patrol looks stunning but I can’t demo one, I’ve rode a nomad and it was what I’m looking for, but on paper they seem very similar, apart from the material/weight

I’ve recently started using a camelbak bumbag.
It came with a reservoir, but Ive not used that. Just keep a pump, tube, lever, multi tool & a gel with stacks of room left.
Don’t think I’ll go back to a back pack.

I use a right handed lever upside down on the left, between the grip & a shimano brake.
Using 1×10 tho, so no shifter on the left.
I’ve also got a 31.6 reverb in the classifieds

I’ve got a mobi 17L rechargeable powerwash from crc for using away from home which is great, but can’t you just fit an outside tap?

I rode this, but did the shorter route which cut out that section of road.
Absolutely gutted someone could put in so much effort to partentialy cause others such serious injuries.
It was still a brilliant day, fantastic weather and a tough route around beautiful scenery.
    Thank you organisers.

Even when I’m not having an episode, driving a car is uncomfortable at best, I now drive a van everyday as the seat is more of a dinning chair position than a low down slouch.
One way a physio found to release the pain is lay down on your front ( sometimes easyier said than done ) holding on to something, I use a door frame, and get someone to hold your foot and lean back with all their weight and hold the position for five minutes.
It takes the pressure off the trapped nerve and is one of the nicest feelings I’ve ever felt after days of horrific pain.
My bulging discs usually take Aprox 6-8 weeks to fully reduce, but the worst of the pain is the first few days.

Sympathies, long term sufferer here. 21 years and counting!
The best tablets I’ve found so far are diazepam, they relax it and send me out for 4-6hrs.

6ft on a large 650b bandit, it feels same size as my medium 26 covert.
    Got 150mm pikes, rental stem 50 or 60? & 740mm bars.
It climbs well and is comfy to ride for few hrs but I’m not blown away by it

Arch ex. Great with maxxis but recently found that wtb don’t fit. Got a wtb vigilante on after 3 shifts of trying but don’t know how I’ll get it off. Cut off is looking likely.

I watched the opra interview and the lie movie in the cinema before i got into road cycling, so these programes were my introduction to it.
He came across as the best cheat, but a vile, lieing and selfish person.
But not knowing much of him or the sport before he was caught I found it hard to belive he had cancer, maybe he did, but I thought he was more than capable of making that up to use the medicans & chemo for a cover story.
Same with the charity, if it made him richer, he’d spearhead it.

Self employed, sat here reading this as I don’t have any work on today, whilst my riding mates who are employed and earn a less hourly rate are in the alps for a week.
I couldn’t commit to this holiday 6 months ago when they booked as I had no idea how this years work would go or if I’d be able to take time off.
Swings & rounderabouts, no holidays but new bike on tax rebate.

Cheers alexsimon, I’ll learn how to do it one day, or get a better phone.
