Ended up riding Morzine park & bits of off piste,
Super Morzine park & off piste,
Les gets park, chatel, lindarets, col du co, Swiss national track & avoriaz.
The week flew by and I could of done 10 days easily. Great trip.
Thanks for the replys, I usually prefer riding blues/reds fast than blacks slow to be honest.
I’ve have been before but only for a weekend so a full week is going to be a totally different trip.
I do think they’re one of the best Looking bikes of the year, every time I ride someone wants to try it for size before ordering.
It’s in the workshop today getting the cables heatshrunk together.
Really like mine, climbs ok and great going down.
I ride mostly trail centres and glad I stuck with transition,
Last two bikes were the bandit & covert.
Taking it to the Alps next week too.
It may be over biked for some trails but I don’t think 10mm less travel would change it much, although I only had a carpark demo on this and the scout.
The bad bits, The bb is low but I’ve gone for 165mm cranks but my biggest issue is the noisey internal cable routing slapping the frame.
Bearings went after 2 months and shock bushing after 3 months
Most site require them, just the basic card.
Make sure you book direct & not go through a 3rd party who only book it for you and charge £40+ for the pleasure.
Lots of managers still have no idea on how to enforce rules and which to relax
My 5 year old is allergic to diary & it was a total nightmare at first, but it’s fine now we’re used to it.
The bigger supermarkets sell a good range of diary free products now. The soya cheese is rank but it’s all he knows.
He’s never tried chocolate, yogurts, butter and so many other foods but there’s plenty of other choice.
Remove beads with a hammer & chisel, lift up sash on the dropped side, fit a packer between glass & frame. Replace beads, job done.
Highly unlikely there’s anything wrong with the hinges, it’s just dropped through normal use.
My main issue is the price.
There is only one other carpark nearby, a council run park which charge £1:30 per half day.
The Morrisons carpark is huge, almost always half empty carpark in a deprived are. (Porth, Rhondda Cynon Taff)
There is very little in the area in the way of employment or entertainment.
If it was in a city I would expect to pay around £10 to park.
so If she overstayed In either of these I’d understand them charging at least what they had lost.
It’s the amount, £85 but also a private company with the power to overcharge I dislike.
Thanks again for all the replys, from what I can find, I’m already too late for an appeal. My wife is getting to the point of paying to avoid court but I’m still undecided.
I am a little surprised by the sympathy the supermarket Giants and private companies get for charging the motorist what I consider to be an extortionate amount of money in fines, but we are in the wrong so I will probably end up paying the £85
Time to pay up, I’d read a few years ago to ignore as they’re not fines but invoices that don’t have to be paid as there is no loss to the company, looks like that was wrong or things have changed.
Cheers for the advice.
She was there longer than allowed, called into Morrisons for lunch and walked around the corner into the office forgetting the time limit.
She broke the rules, but the amount just seems unfair for a free carpark compared to highway fines.
The industry is in the worse state I’ve ever seen it, with wages lower now than 15 years ago.
Most jobs go through scummy agencies who won’t pay you direct but give your wages to a third party and they all take a slice.
You will need a cscs card, transport and at least basic tools & ppe such as cordless drill/driver, hand tools, hammer drill levels for most jobs.
Well done on making the change and I Don’t mean to sound all doom & gloom but it really is a bad trade to be in for most at the moment.
