How did it go?
It was as busy as ever in the car park but I did the event so the used trails were all as ment to be for competitors.

Im a regular there, favourite trails are sixtapod, vicious valley & rim dinger.
Least favourite a470 & terrys belly.(& 50 shades but only as its too technical for me.) but a great trail for better riders.
I do find the cafe & uplift bad value and poor food, but the trails & shop really good.
To eat, I usually go to the retail parks just below the mountain to Costa, nandos, co op or Pizza Hut. All under a 5 min drive.

Not a high profile job at all, but I was being asked to spend more & more time in work last year.
Which would you like to hear in 15 years from now?

Competitors can’t use the buses but Last year they closed Dai hard which is a black,
And both reds to non competitors, personally I’d rearrange if possible.

Thefts compared to visitor numbers are low, but don’t leave bikes or anything else worth thousands of pounds alone on top of or on the back of a car in a carpark in a forest near Bpw or anywhere else. Bpw have a few recommended accomadion on their website with storage & bike wash facilities.

Uplift at black mountains should be on your list, they do day or evening lifts on certain nights.
Cafell at Cwm carn is a great trail.
Blade, whites level and the wall are all really good at Afan.
Smilog woods in llantrisant, not sign posted but if you venture up the forest road climb you’ll bump into the trails.
Mountain ash Dh is about 15 mins drive from bpw.

The heat was totally unexpected too, took loads of waterpoofs after hearing the tales from last year. The dust on the busiest trails was incredible but I’d take that over streams.

Carried it on as hand luggage hanging from rucksack last week. No problems at Bristol or Geneva.
Bike box was slightly overweight too stuffed with gear but fine at both airports.
