They also sell for a similar price to private sales, you can get a good deal on most second hand bikes

Most bikes are rode a few hours a week, a hire bike is rode everyday. I’d steer clear.

I’m using the standard 140mm 34s, the low bb was causing a lot of pedal strikes so did consider a longer fork, but instead I changed the shock in to the steeper position. Much better ride for the type of riding I do, mainly just trail centres and bike parks.

A joiner usually manufacturs the windows, doors, stairs ect in a joinery shop, a carpenter fits them on site,
But a lock only keeps out an honest man

As above, carpenter or Upvc fitter will do it in a couple of hours. Labour only, £120 is a nice easy day for them.

Maybe better off with an old canteen or site office as they come with a single door rather than big doubles.
    Also come insulated.

I’ve always taken spares inc pads, tyre, mech hangers, spokes ect, but only ever needed the tyre after ripping a single ply.
The bits one of our group have needed but not taken include a jockey wheel, a pedal, helmet peak,a snapped pivot bolt and a crank arm.
Packed in a cardboard box and protected with pads and clothes.

As I’ll still own my current home until the new one is refurbished. It is under the limit for Stamp duty.

Also broke mine. The part that screws into the gun, so keeping an eye on this.

Spoke to HSBC today, agreed in principle but as it’s classed as a second home, they want a 20% deposit.
    Doable but only just.

Also I’d probably fix for longer than 2 years iiwy unless you’re loaded and happy to take the risk.

Far from loaded and not brightest bulb, so a lot of the info goes over my head. I bought at the right time about 15 years ago, allowing me to upgrade now.
Planning on buying a house that needs renovation and stay in mine until it’s ready. Then sell the current house and make the overpayment from the sale.

I’d Make the payment within the first year, or put it in an account until the fixed term is up maybe?

If the numbers just aren’t there to built an elite series, Maybe the regional races could provide an elite class where the class would have to do each stage twice, doubling the transition mileage and stages ridden compared to novice riders?

I still think the cassette rider is better looking, but amazing again.

Although I’m not a good climber, whites is my favourite. I do like cafall and twrch too.
Hate the climb after the black on whites level and the short cut from the end of y wall back to the jump park area.

I’ve got hilux with a back & a l200, both crew cab trucks for work. I wouldn’t buy either, they just do loads of jobs badly. They’re like a car, but squashed for passengers, handler badly and are big to park. They can go off road, but not as good as a specific 4×4. You can put bikes in, but with wheels off and nowhere near as good as a van.

Thanks, Plenty to think about here. I know what you mean nickjb, it is a perfect location, just after a little less breaking bumps less DH and not so steep this year and hopefully a bit of sun.

Coming up to 3 years off for me. 20 years of 20/30 a day. Alun Carr book recommended on here made it so easy for me. I’ve bought a Carbon road bike and a Carbon mtb out of the saved cash.
Good luck, it is worth it.

No, part of the twrch (the old trail) closed. The division takes you straight down a rough road to the car park, or if you know your way around go around to the dh trails.
Alternatively stick to the caffal (new trail)

Perfect day there, considering it’s November too. Thanks for the pass, i managed to ride everything except sixtapod as it was closed, 50 shades as it’s above my level and the full red with a470 on it as I ran off of time with the late start and long dinner break. Slippery in places, especially t.b

My thoughts exactly! I stayed a few miles away for a course in the Summer with work and almost didn’t take the bike after reading a few bad reviews, but loved it and I’m trying to get on another course.
