“stupid” sometimes.
Can’t always spell or type perfectly, but good at maths, can build a house, make a decent wage and most importantly build & ride a bike. If someone can’t spell as good as you, they can usually do a lot of other things better
I live in Wales so if you don’t want to ride in winter you can only ride for about 3 weeks of the year. That’s why trail centres are so useful
Hopefully get to afon tomorrow, all ridable wet or dry
Sunline bars & stem
Shimano pedals & shoes
4 sets brake pads
Waterproof shorts
All rewards for giving up smoking, but I’m sure I wasn’t spending £200+ a week on fags ;)
Well done all.
Iv been off them 3&1/2 weeks now after about 17 years. 30ish a day last off.
I had a bad day last week, bought 10, smoked 3 then threw the rest away.
That’s the only time so hoping i won’t give in again.
As a fellow suby I’d say stick with what you now got. You now these short term jobs will come up over and over again, double the dollar for half the time but they always dry up
Iv got 3 damaged discs in my lower back, trapping a nerv in my leg.
The only thing that usually helps is a bike ride. I can’t stant or walk for more than a few minutes but can ride trail centres & local trails totally forgetting about my back.
It’s at it’s worst at the moment so struggle to get on the bike but will ride on the weekend. I had this on & off for 15 years but only started riding to help it about 2 years ago.
But everyone is different and you could do more harm than good
As one of our mates is a lap dealer, myself & 5 friends bought 4 zestys & 2 spicys in 2010. The 4 of us still ride our zestys but both spicys have now been sold.
They never had a bad word to say about them but both have been replaced with 120mm bikes.
People i class as celebs differ to most
I follow mountain bikers, all the American mx riders and road racers.
Last week iom TT legend John mcguiness tweeted about riding mx the following day, my mate tweeted back and arranged to meet up and spent a day riding with him. Technology has it’s uses.
Not sure about safe for kids or not
I had a full day as a gift for my 30th. Mk2 escorts & p 205 in the morning. Aprox 35 mins driving in a field.
Sierra cosworth in the afternoon aprox 15 mins driving in forest and then a passenger ride in a Subaru in the forest.
Brilliant day out but just leaves you wanting more. I think this was about £300 & was in Bristol
Always pondered the same question. Obvious ones are parking, snacks & spares but would of thought there would be grants available as you would be bringing in so much tourism to the area.
If there is grants available the hard work of proving success has already been done for you.
I wouldn’t have liked to have gone asking for help in this field 15 years ago but now seems a perfect time.
Good luck!
Just started using tubless & ive got a dropper post on there so new discs & it’s ready to go. Iv been using superstar sintered pads and just ordered another 4 sets, are they the right kind of pads to be using. They’ve been fine for my local rides & trail centres but don’t know what to expect.
I have been told about the spares shops prices so will definitely take what spares I can.
Yeah I bet the hire bikes have seen some action!
