A few mates have got magicshine 872 &880. Both very good.
I’ve just bought a similar one for £80 off eBay. The seller has a web site called torchy the battery boy. On there he shows the expensive lights compared to the copies.
The 2010 zestys were cracking rear ends on the carbon models, but replaced under warranty. Bbs were also usless. But I would have thought all have been replaced by now leaving a fantastic bike. I had a 514, changed the Bb once and didn’t have any problems with the rear triangle.
I was told to remove seat post and turn upside down after washing to prolong bbs life.
The 214 & 314 had Ali rear ends so didn’t have the cracking issues.
Yeah the downomatic, it was last years on offer on crc at the time. I used to wear an arai on the mx bike and its very similar without the weight. I’ve got a large in the down o matic and a small in the xc one so would order both and return one.
Picking up the carrera blast today after finding out an old mate works in halfords, so 10% off. I did want to buy the cube from lbs but couldn’t really justify spending over £300 on a toy that probably won’t get much use until summer. Also ordered a zooom balance bike for youngest from lbs.
It’s very easy to cock up a door with a planner if you havnt used one before. Buy a fine tooth hand saw about £8, rest on 2 chairs, mark a line 8mm parallel from bottom of door and saw away. Alternatively get someone else to do it 🙂
The client used to sort us with about £10 per day each and we would be marked on it instead of doing it in a class so the jobs always got done. However classes were always made up of 50/50 kids who wanted to learn and kids that were made to attend.
He also used to take us to see his mate in the local police station on the way back to take part in identity parades, yep honestly and another £20 a go.
His name wasn’t even jimmy s.
apprenticeships rule!
£36 Chinese no name job on the lid and a £80 Chinese job on the bars. They havnt done much for our economy, but i can see where I’m going 🙂
Well, exept in last nights fog!
Rustytrowel would know if it is still possible, when I was in tech, a lecturer used to take a few of us to his mates new builds and we would fit the studding, door frames, skirting and so on. Probably wouldn’t get away with it now with h&s & ins. But might be worth contacting your local collage for a team well supervised brickies.
Good luck with the rest of your build.
Where are you, they are getting more and more distributers and do shows and events regulally.
I use it, don’t find it much better than any of the others but my lbs stocks it.
I’ve had a focus and an Astra est. both very good cars, the focus was the nicer drive, 1800tdi.
Recently bought a 2006 merc c220 cdi sport. Really good drive, comfy and a quite decent sized boot. It is doing about 34mpg on short journeys. The best value for money imo compared to the fords & vauxhalls ect. I think it was over £40k new, but only a grand more 2nd hand than £12-£20k new cars.
Sold ours on eBay YESTERDAY 🙁 £15
They have them now & then in lidl.
They are great until about 18 months I found, but then too heavy and the constant ear pulling got the better of me. 🙂
I tried both and prefered and bought the covert, still in the honeymoon period but love it so far.
Ps not a good enough rider to tell the difference, it just felt comfier and looks slightly better 🙂
Not sure if link will work, my 2007 vivaro. Had it from 3 yr old with no problems. Just laid a hospital style flooring and a mini bus seat. Seats 5 adults & 5 bikes with spares & luggage for a week away.
The chances are, in a serious fire, you won’t be using this door any way. An upstairs fire escape would probably be used.
Those knob handles with built in lock have a tendency to play up when you most need them.
I’ve just started using it, but didn’t really need it to tell me how slow I was up whites level climb last night. Bloody 5 hundred odd, but I’ve got my excuses ready, dark, windy, raining, foggy and I will think of some more soon 🙂
07 plate swb vivaro here, now on 93k. I’ve had a window fitted in side door (£200) and fitted a double seat with built in belts from a ldv mini bus (£30). It comfortably seats 5 people, 5 bikes fully built and everything we need for a boys trip to the alps.
I also use it as an every day car. 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog.
I fitted the seats behind drivers seat, only problem being the fuel tank had to be lowered to get two of the washers and nuts on.
It was the 80bhp model which is very sluggish, so it’s now remapped to 120bhp. Don’t know mpg but does 500 miles to £100 of derv. @ £1.38pl
once the bikes are in I slide a sheet of ply onto batterns on the sides of van which holds spare wheels and sleeping bags.
I just wish I could have found one with the electric pack.
Brilliant deals on the nukeproof mega pro on crc. Just look a bit poor with the stickers on.
I was about to buy one but then went for a transition covert.
Havnt spent much time on it yet due bad back but first impresion is What a bike!
