Anyone here payed for a yearly pass yet? I only live 8 miles away so I do qualify for the £40 yearly ticket so I can’t see me paying £75 and getting my monies worth
    POSTED 11 MINUTES AGO # REPORT-POST

There’s a meeting tomorrow night in Pentrebach for local about this from 6:30pm. Check out the FB page for details

Hopefully the visitors it brings to Merthyr will warrant a chair lift one day.
Just hope we get the promised rain in the next few days so the trails can get whackered.

Or maybe because they cost about £4.9million more than mini busses?

Dh bike will suit the black trails, but the blues & reds are built for trail bikes. On An uplift day you’ll get to try out every trail, so next time you visit you can ride up the xc and down your favourite.

I’m not sure what kind of time the black will take to get down, but the blues & reds should be about 7-12mins

Yes such a direct route including a tarmac road I should have wrote. Great service they run.

A Stiniog has it dialed due to the ease of access to the top via a Tarmac road. Bpw wouldn’t be as fast turn around as there but I believe it will still be a huge success and there’s loads of room left on the mountain to expand over the next few years.
I think a chair lift would have cost £5m to buy and instal, one day hopefully.

The climb is close to the road in parts but all off road.
2 blue runs with a couple of optional routes
2 red runs with a black option
2 black runs with pro lines
    1 pump track
    1 family trail

Nice camp site at glyn corrwg (whites level trail).
There’s a few in Brecon, llangorse being one.
Swansea is reasonably close with lovely beaches & quite a few sites.
Bit further away is Pembrey, fantastic camp site

There’s a pub under 1 min walk, a restaurant & fast food 2 min drive & the trails are a 2 mile forest ride away or 10 min drive, so pretty good location.
    No log burner, yet.
The secure bike storage can also be blocked in by customers cars/vans.

The change of use to property is thing I’m concerned about

2″ deep, white wool carpet it will not have! :)
It has a good size utility room which I’d like to rip out to use as bike storage in the house, plus build an overflow shed to store extra bikes & a work stand.

My lbs took 3 days to get 26″ arch ex & cheaper than what I found online. £274 for black on black

Horrible pain. Collapsed gall bladder here. Went in for mine out on Christmas Eve a few years ago. Everyone else on ward was let out same day, I had the after party surgeon who did a botch job & had to stay in for a week :(
Due to the xmas celebrations, Every fruit & chocolate known to man was on offer at the end of my bed which isn’t so good when you’re nil by mouth.
Now have 4 tiny scars and no trouble with it at all. Good luck

Transition were at Afan two weeks ago for a demo day.
A few mates rode the carbon covert and the bandit, all came to the same conclusion
    Terrible climbing & worse descending.
I’m a transition fan, I think they must have been in great need of a service & set up.
You’d be much better off trying to get a ride on a privately owned one.
They may have sold some bikes that day if they didn’t let anyone ride them.
    Love my covert.

    2012 covert here. Love it!
I’m 6ft & a medium is perfect. If I had to replace it the only bike I could think of getting in its place is a 2013 covert.
Its In black with the kashima build. Loco just converted the talas to floats apart from that I can’t think of any upgrades I want, or maybe lighter wheels but not really necessary.
Demod an ibis mojo too which climbed better but I preferred the covert over all.

Ride whites level & the wall or w2 which is a combo of both.
Be sure to try out the new bike park, 3/4 of the way around the wall. Very good day time food at skyline cafe (start of whites level) & average food at Bryn bettys cafe by bike park on the wall.
Brechfa & cwmcarn also worth a visit.
Not sure about evening meals or pubs locally.

Very interested in the Vivaro remap therag.
How has it affected fuel consumption? What size engine do you have? Where’d you get it done?
    Cheers

You can get an economy or performance remap, I had the performance. From 90bhp to 130bhp :)
Cost £150. Its a 2L & had it done at a local garage in Pontypridd
I’ve done 45k now since having it done & will have my next van done too.

2007 Vivaro here, fitted a window in the side door & a double seat with built in seatbelts behind drivers seat. It is my perfect vehicle. Wanted a vw but couldnt afford or justify double the price. It was a little bit Sluggish, a remap totally changed that. Fits my bike built, 4 extra bikes with 1 wheel removed and 5 people.

Extra costs, road tolls €140 return trip, lift pass €17 pd, food & drink prices always get a slating but is no more than any popular holiday destination. Personal ins. €40 for long weekend.

Same as many here, never diagnosed but slow reading, words muddled up and imposible when there’s others talking in the same room.
Reading a sentence, I always find a random word which doesn’t fit, but then it’s there again where it should be further down the page.
But as others have said, I’m also good at reading drawings, visualising how things should be built or could be built much better. I do have quite bad short term memory but didn’t realise it was a part of it.
There’s always a sarky coc! on this forum who likes to correct spelling mistakes, but that’s one of the few downsides of it for me.
Btw this has taken 7 mins to write with predictive text on. :)
