My wife is a qualified and very experienced counsellor, who only saw clients face to face before covid, but since has had to take on some online and telephone appointments instead and she’s been really happy with how well it still works in our new ways.
    Good luck with it.
I’m not trying to sell her services as I’d obviously big her up to anyone and she wouldn’t see anyone that I know, but I would pass on her email address on if anyone here needed it

I have the H30 with an extender.
Put on a 160mm 36 fork, bigger fox seatpost and an xtr brakeset from new, so I couldn’t comment on how much it was improved.
Every local ride is steep up & steep down in S wales with full fat bikes and my previous bike was a full fat Levo. I get the same distance/height, but put in more effort. Most rides are well under 20 miles, almost all in turbo and I rarely run the battery flat.

These guys also ride them and do a podcast most weeks, an interesting and easy listen for the commute.

I’ve recently joined my local TRF group and the majority on the ride were on Honda crfs. I haven’t worked out how to post pics on here yet, but it looked like a honda experience day, such fun little bikes.

    I have a crf300L
They are heavy and maybe underpowered, but such a fun little bike, I love it.
The rear shock is dangerous, once changed it really transforms the bike, I changed the front spring too but that didn’t make a huge difference.
I’ve also fitted an ascerbis bash guard & hand guards, heated grips and kenda tyres.
I haven’t done any big tours, just local off road rides and green lanes.

Smilog is about 15-20 min drive from Barry Sidings and quite similar, although I do prefer bs.
I spotted 2 unfamiliar vans there today when collecting my bike from the shop 😉
We did have some crazy rain last night.

It doesn’t, but if it, did follow the road down to a dead end & park by the cricket club.

I live on the doorstep of Barry sidings.
You could stay in the carpark, some do.
Just up the road is a hotel & restaurant called The Heritage park, if you was having a drink there I’m sure nobody would mind your vehicle being there overnight.
There isn’t any great local spots to camp, the best official camp site is 30 min drive to dare valley country park, which has a family bike park on site.
There will be locals around who will point you in the right direction and the boys in the shop at the bottom will be able to explain the trails, all the trails are running great at the moment after a bit of rain.
If I’m around I’ll show you about.

There is a camp site at Dare valley country park, Aberdare. It’s about 15/20 mins drive to bpw and has a pump track and blue dh trails with uplift on site too.

I’ve recently passed my test and bought a triumph tiger. Living in S Wales I’m out most sunny weekends around South & mid wales getting lost and avoiding all the busy roads, finding places I never would of by car. Brilliant fun, enjoy it.

Loads of trees down but could of been much worse.
I’ve cleared the killer climb, black gold and the start of quarry track.
There was a group working there last night too on quarry track I think.
I haven’t checked the bottom half yet.

Akers, most visitors I see there go looking for Scary Mary and love it, I’ve only rode it once, none of the regulars that I know ever ride that trail.
Frankenstein instead every time for me on that part of the mountain.

Congratulations, I passed mine last month too.
Currently on a Ktm Duke 390 when it isn’t too cold and wet.

It’s my local, I can give you a tour if needed, just drop me a msg, ghorsnell@icloud.com
There are loads of trails, all unofficial (apart from 2 pump tracks) and quite steep and technical in parts, flowy in others, but all great fun. Top half of the mountain is the steepest.
    Must do Trails inc.

I have loads of health issues, none of which stop me riding any bikes, but I waited until my 40th birthday and bought myself a second hand Levo. I should of got one years ago, the only down side is seeing my traditional bike as a clothes hanger.

I got there today at 9:30 and left at 16:30, managed 2 rides!
Get there early or last thing, it was quieter after 3pm.

Racing is great fun and a totally different day out for me, but I won’t pay the prices anymore. Maybe it would be different if I was faster, but it just seems a waste of money now.
I hoped to take the kids to complete in the youth introduction to Enduro last month at bpw, but I just could not justify £50 each entry for a child’s hobby.
My local club are running a sportive this year which I’ll probably enter just to support a local event.

Another way is up the uplift road to where it flattens out, take a left, on a right hand bend up an old access road through old farm building ruins, you come out at the bottom of a470 & sixtapod. Turn right up the forest road and then again left up a mud road, eventually rejoining the uplift road near the top.
I did a full trail climb last week in turbo in 16 mins. It’s a good climb and worth doing a few times.

I’ve drove once and flown twice trouble free, until 2018 when easyJet lost around 10 bikes from our flight due to over booking, 3 of which were mine & two mates. The other 8 mates bikes turned up on time. Ours were put on a later flight without us knowing and left at Geneva airport pick up area unattended. There was nobody to speak to, just fill in a lost luggage form on the app and claim off your insurance was the only help we got.
I will stick to driving or renting from now on, it is a long drive but a better holiday imo.

There’s a few new sections built of y wall, stage 4 and six feet under I think they’re called. Steeper and more natural than old Afan.
On the glyncorrwg side, Skyline shop and cafe have closed down and reopened with new owners.

I’ve just binge watched Homeland, a brilliant CIA series. Also really enjoyed Narcos, power (even with the terrible acting), stranger things and Luther. I found better call sol a little disappointing after breaking bad.
    Sex Ed next.

I bought the proframe for gravity enduros & riskier trail riding. It was still very hot and it cracked without having a big impact. Back on trail lids again now.

Must do: get there early to collect bands and avoid missing the first few busses queuing to sign in.

Sixtapod into willy waver, fun easy blue.

Porty ping, an easy jumpy but rollable blue.

Vicious valley, surfing bird, insa funds. A step up from the blues, but good fun.

Acdc, rim dinger.  a red with a few more technical bits thrown in

roots munouver, imo easily the best trail there, a flat out fun red/black

Dai hard, the easiest of the blacks, steeper in places with a few tricky bits in the woods

I take food as the cafe is hit or miss.

Selling 2nd hand can be a minefield. The dealer needs to make 40-50% on new bikes, so I expect to lose that even before I use it, unless you direct buy.

I also never rode the full trail before the closures but have recently joined bits from the Rhondda valley to glyncorrwg and it’s open and running well, also noticed new looking signage so I’m hoping it will reopen.

Since finding the Adidas Terrex I’ve stuck with them and find them far better than 5/10 in durability, drying time and looks. Even got them in every colour now, I only buy them when there’s an offer on, usually 30% off.
