Assuming speed is the main contributory factor in the majority of accidents/subsequent deaths – which it isn’t.

Speed limits are arbitrary figures in place since the 60’s. If you obey every single law because it’s there regardless of whether is makes sense then you’re dafter than those who do speed when it’s inappropriate.

    Gunz,

You’ll be fine with 750 meg mate – that’s a decent allowance these days!!

It seems insane that the 3rd parties can out do the telco direct deals sometimes. It just happens that they can use the frankly ridiculous commission they get for a new line/upgrade to offset the cost of the phone (which they get cheap by wholesaling or importing from elsewhere). the telco’s hate it but people like CPW and P4U are such big players that they cant afford to drop them.

Oh and remember that even if you are a low earner for the telco the worst deal you should ever get should be any of the ones on their website.

Here’s how it works guys – every customer is allocated a “value” automatically by whatever system the Telco uses. Generally it takes account of all the various factors which determine how much money u make them. When you come to renew, they will take this into account when looking at what to offer you to retain.

Occasionally you will get a call back after you’ve set a cancellation/had a Pac but don’t count on it. Unfortunately for us, we’re sometimes just not worth that “special” deal 🙁 Just a business remember – they may use the loyalty word al .over the place but there’s a clear point where it’s just not profitable to keep some customers.

Good luck on the deal. And if u want a really good one, don’t bother with an Apple product; margins are just too tight.

Spent a long weekend there in January and thought it .was great. We had one of the cottages in the village which was a good size (2 adults, 2 kids) and a very short stroll to the bakery and pub. I would say it compares favourably to C parcs but not by much. Kids need tone 1 metre to use the pool slides which they don’t tell you and annoyed me a little. It’s hilly too if thats an issue for any in your party. Great, free, indoor play area for kids with a climbing wall etc too in case the wether sucks. Hth

Have a look at the Archos series. The 10.1 is particularly good value and the media playback is excellent. I dont own one but do have an older Archos media player. recently discounted near to the £100 mark

Cletus – The first thing to acknowledge is that you are a 3 customer. You bought on price and there are consequences for doing so.

The fact that you haven’t upgraded during your time with them will add no weight at all.

The web portal is likely not smart enough understand all the factors of your account.

Call them. Do not threaten to leave. Do not bang on about how “loyal” you are (especially in the same breath as discussing your leaving options). Just say that you’re looking for a good deal and would like to discuss the options.

Accept that phones are damned expensive these days and if you want a high end one it’s not going to happen for £10 a month (£240 over the term wont even cover the purchase cost of a mid to high end phone these days).

Accept that the guys you speak to will have a finite amount of money to play with. The amount they have will likely depend on what kind of income you generate for 3. Don’t think that just because your bill is £50 per month you actually generate £50 of income. If i use £50 of gas and my bill is £50 it’s because i used that amount of the product. The mobile network game is vastly complex in terms of income generation and every account is different.

The guy you speak to is probably paid commission for tying you back into a contract. If he can do you a deal, he will.

Alternatively, forget any notion of loyalty and shop around. You will probably find a cheaper deal from a 3rd party. Be careful though – i promise you that there are A LOT of cowboys. Personally i’d stick with the major networks and pay a reasonable price for a decent product.

Excusing the watching of Jeremy Kyle on the basis that “it reminds me how lucky I am” – BANNED
    Jeremy Kyle – BANNED
    Mentioning Jeremy Kyle – BANNED

Driving up to a roundabout, stopping, THEN looking to see if anything’s coming – BANNED (and you should be). Strange that the most guilty of this seem to be the ones who claim mastery of multitasking…..

Listen to Jeff! He’s bob on with the carpet advice etc. I really enjoyed doing mine. I added rear seats on rails so I could take them out when I wanted to go away with the bike/surfboard but add them back in/move them around when I was sans kids or getting a load of camping gear in. The rails and load spreaders also make them a damn sight safer too!

Thanks for the replies all. I’m leaning away from the Cdale although it looks to be a bargain it does seem closer to a HT than I probably need. Any opinions on either of these:

    GT IDXC 3.0
    GT i-drive xcr5

ivnickate – Cheers for the link but i’m trying not to get into looking at new bikes. I know where that’ll lead!

I’m English but live in Wales and have done for 15 years so i’d hope I’ve got a fairly balanced view. I loved Robinson, thought he was the dynamic that England had lacked (and still do incidentally) but I reckon Shane was better. He scored so many tries that he shouldn’t have and I feel that he contributed more, overall, to the game as a whole.

    Shane for me…………..

aracer – i could sort you a Mini-pro or an Ace depending on your needs and budget. I’d be more interested in selling the Mini-pro as it’s currently unused. £50 for the Mini, £150 for the Ace?

I’m clearly not normal – i like it! I always leave it until after 8.30 ish and I always ride on my own. Guess I enjoy the solitude. I also live in a city and tend to go straight through the middle of it. Something about a quiet city at night……

    Hero stuff if not 🙂
