Rigid forks on a 29er swift with a nice 2.3 or 2.4 tire can deal with an awful lot more than you might expect and especially more than a 26"

Why not get the engineering company to helicoil the thread as required it's not a difficult job I would probably do all four while I was there
It's not an uncommon failure on those brakes and threads sometimes go as a bolt is removed not always as it's tightened.
Get some new pads and go for a ride :-))
There's still no excuse for not replying by the seller but leaving things that long !

What is medium speed ? I find em good at most speeds but better the harder you push them

I do run them fairly hard as if there too soft they feel a bit spongy !

They tubeless up a treat tho good tyres

I am fairly short of leg and ran my swift on drops with a sensible stem i also have a gryphon set up in a similar way which is just lovely

I can confirm that being tall and lean has nothing to do with the bikes you first mentioned.

Actually it was my singular at ssec as for not being able to use the hoods tosh i use that bike nearly every day it's perfect for cruising on the hoods and braking in the hoods

Three years and still going strong I think being a bodge is a little unfair ;-) unconventional certainly

Does the chainset feel tight with the wheel and chain removed ?

Does the sproket and freehub feel tight out of the frame ?

If the answer is no then sounds like a chain issue

Great bars ran mine with the writing upside down lovely bars in all conditions

I rum the 80mm minutes on mine nice fork a bit of a faff to set up but now riding very nice

also don't get too hung up on how much travel you think you need compared to 26" you will get away with less
