Thank god for that, I tore my left achilles tendon in half,with a 30 mm gap in February,that the orthopaedic surgeon declined to suture,and just as it was healing, and I had the go-ahead to start riding again,in August,I tripped up crossing a road,and tore the right achilles tendon.I will probably not be riding until after Christmas,so listenining to you shilly-shallying about a bit of weather has been Teeing me off completely.

Get a small boy. TBH, my bladder control is getting worse as I get older, 67 now, and I get urgency and a similar small leak on occasions, although not specifically bike related. I find cutting down on alcohol helps, sadly.

So, if you are otherwise well, why are you worried enough about your overnight rate too? I only ask cos I’ve worked in a lot of medical high dependency units, including on nights, and if I felt well, there is no way I’d monitor mine, a my HR if I wake can be quite high, cos I have quite vivid dreams, which is just one of those things.

Cos if you are symptom free, and you routinely monitor your overnight pulse, you may be over thinking this a little.

Errr,if you’re asleep,how do you know what HR is ?
