I got married in church as my wife is a believer, we had to go to a 'wedding preparation day' with the vicar with about 6 other couples, firs question he asked was "who here believes in god?" all the other 13 people in attendance put their hands up, I didn't so he asked me "If you dont believe in god what are you doing here?", I responded "because my parner does and I respect fer views"

his reply "well at least your honest………."

Part bank loan, part vendor loan maybe (vendor loan is where you pay the current owners back over a period of time)

What have you camped with b4?, I only ask as we always camped with a really big tent (outwell nebraska XXL) until last year when we changed to a caravan, we bought a small one of ebay to see how we coped and enjoyed it but found the space restricting, this year we have traded up to a larger van and decent awning which is great, anyway back to point if you are used to a big tent then a folder might be alot better for you than a small fixed van

In the first instance I'd have expected her employees to take note of the fact that she was suffering from stress and take the appropriate action to ensure that this did not affect her work, particularly if it really did affect the livelihoods of others. I do not expect her employers to make the situation worse by overworking her further which will inevitably lead to mistakes being made. If they now wish to take action to ensure it doesn't happen again they should also consider the role her manager has played in this.

right at the start of this thread it says not of this has been recorded by either party with regard to work, so did work really know about it?, Whilst work have a duty of care to employee's , employees have the same duty to inform employers of these same things

and tbh in cases of disciplinary the first words usually trotted out by the employee in question as a defence are 'stress', not too stressed to be signed off sick therefore not admissable in a tribunal…..

Just a small insight from the employers point of view, this 'pre test' will form part of the patients permanent record.

Opticians are inspected by the pct randomly within a certaain timescale, where they inspect the medical records of a number of patients. If this record with these details was inspected the registered optician could be 'struck off' and therfore no longer able to practice.

What your relative did was wrong, and could have put the livlyhoods of more than herself at risk, what do you expect her employers to do, say there there never mind or treat peoples medical conditions seriously and take action to makesure it doesn't happen again…..

OK for balance for no reason other than they are young and still learning about life children can at random times get very load and excitable, this can cause stress toyour relative and other patients around him that can aggrivate their conditions.

While I am not saying this would happen with your daughter, the reason why they ban is because it CAN happen, would you like a screaming wailing child at the next bed?

HORA yoa are sooo wrong, what martial arts can and does do, as well as teaching you some very effective techniques, is improve your reaction times in a fight situation, as things that most people have to think about, a good martial artist does naturally without thinking, this hgives an edge…..

You know I hate people who dish it out to social workers who really have the most thankless job in the world

I have adopted two children and EVERY social worker I have met has the interests of the children as their primary concern.

They are however very restricted by regulation, they cannot by rumour hearsay or guess work they need definitive proof to be able to interviene, and their primary directive is to keep a child with birth parents where possible.

I would love to see all the nay sayers above do a better job under those circumstances

laminates and undeslung sinks are a big nono you cant seal the worktop around the cut out well enough to keep water out, dont do it…..

    thehustler
    Free Member

Undermounted sinks are only suitable for use with either a solid wood (properly sealed) or stone (either natural or manmade) worktop, if you are thinking of having a laminate dont even got there after a couple of months your worktop will swell up like weetabix, if you re going for the above then as said they can be cut into the worktop.

Also means you can have a 6 burner hob else where !

can be done above a normal built in cooker, the worktop cut out is actually exactly the same …..but as the hob is wider you have to remember the gap between wall cupboards needs to be equivalently large otherwise you can still breach corgi and therfore invalidate your house insurance

OK putting it like for like some +/- based on both being a 600mm wide version

1 they both take 600mm so take the same space
2 a built in does usually look neater
3 a stand alone will have a larger oven (esp if you go down the double
    oven route)
4 You could use the same extractor ambove either so pretty much negates
    that argument
5 You will generally get 'more' for your money spec wise for a stand alone
6 When you come to sell the house you can take a freestander with you but
a built in is regarded as fixtures anf fittings
7 Again on selling the two rooms that generally sell a house are kitchen
and bathroom so long term investment or short term step on the property
    ladder

After thinking thru the above only you can really make the decision, but a couple of other pointers

Now matter how good technology is getting a gas hob is stil more controllable/efficient than an electric one (there are exceptions ie some electric hobs can have built in timers etc now a days but mega bucks)

An electric fan assisted cooker cooks faster and more efficiently cost wise than a gas oven

So if you go gas hob electric oven you get the best of both, and also can still cook if either the gas or electric is off

Next time he starts to rant just stand and look at him calmly all thru the rant, when he runs out of steam just quietly say, "and if the roles were reversed is that how you would expect me to talk to you, I dont expect an apology this time, but I will also expect a more civil tone in the future,if you cannot accept this i will seek advice from HR regarding your unreasonable behaviour"

make sure you follow thru and make records(keeps a diary) of all incidents

Alot of high end martial artists are extremely fit, a few years ago ( too many to say real number) I used to do Judo at a high competative lvl, and the team that went to one of the commonwealth games got a visit from the overall english team coach, who basically tore into the judo squad coach for over working the players so close to competition………..What he didn't know until it was pointed out was that they regime they were doing as a 'tick along', He was pretty perturbed as what he saw was harder training than most serious athletes ever undertake. We walked away from that commonwealth with 14 of the 16 gold medals available in that tournament
