Speech armadillo 25’s and I ride an old rail track don’t get any punctures if pressures are kept right, the speech shop in Stafford say they would swap the tyre/ inner foc if you manage to puncture It. In a different way

Funny thread tbh most sports havde their own unique demands bases around stamina strength flexibility dexterity etc in various degrees, this is why no one person is the best at all sports………..makes the whole thread a bit pointless really

THE BEST transition lens for darkness you can get at the moment is a Transition extra active, it is ONLY available in grey atm and is also the ONLY lens that works partially (about 50% of ouside)in a car.

you know ebay can be your friend in this, I just picked up a 2yr old quintanaroo that is immaculate for £740, having sols my boardman hybrid for £375 it was a significant and well worthwhile upgrade

There is aLondon to Paris team or solo 24 hr ride, that’s approx 230 miles and they won’t be pushing too hard so def doable

I would say the 105 breaks seem pretty powerful alongside the cable discs from the hybrid, but not had to ride it in the wet yet……

I too have just gone truly dark side, been using a Boardman hybrid (that was very set up for roads) to try and convince myself I was an mtb’er just training on roads, but this week end I picked up my Quintana too and its a revelation, got to get used to the extra carbon stiffness and slightly different riding position using drops, but am really enjoying it so far

wood, be prepaired to maintain it regularly, stone go for the man made (corian speedstone or similar) as the natural is pourus which can 1. hold bacteria,2 can stain from red wine etc.

not sure how it works on ebay, but in a shop a price ticket is termed in law “an invite to buy” he retailer is not bound to sell the item at said price, but can withdraw it from sale if queried. OP, like many things inthis country it depends on your personal circumstances, if you are deemed to be ‘self sufficient’ then you pay just like other prescriptions, if you are on certain types of benefit osr have certain medical histories either personally or within the fmily you get a free eye test, and contributon towards glasses, this ‘contribution’ will cover the cost of the most basic type of lens needed to meet your prescription into a basic frame (his is wholly at the discretion of the supplier as the cotribution is a fixed amount) if you go outside the basics then the eyewear providers can charge what they wish/market forces will allow.

Tbh I haven’t tried it yet, gonna go to costco tomorrow for a butchers, if it doesn’t fit i wont buy, but ig a few mm on a stem and/or a seatpost can rort it well 1, I might have the bits floating around already, 2 its cheaper than the alternatives 🙂
