Only for companies based in the UK though, according to
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/family/Cheap-Contact-Lenses/

So you would trust your eyecare to some non UK anonymous inernet company. You know alot of CL wearesrs really are a law unto themselves and deserve the eye problems they get………

……wonder if this internet company can refer you for a corneal ulcer you develop for over use and lack of regular eyecare check ups and dont try to tell me it doesn’t happen……..I own an opticians and it does

and the really funny thing we have had a patient try to sue us who hasn’t been seen in practice for over 5 years and has been ordering lenses off the internet…….you know the only thing that stopped her winning we could prove we had sent her reminders to make appointments which she had ignored

are the tax people daft? you decide

A couple of years a go we made a couple of big purchases for our business which meant 1 quarter we were actually owed a vat rebate, this was sorted they sent us a cheque and everything all fine, roll on three weeks we get a VAT demand stating we are to be fined for non payment of VAT.

So I phone them and get it checked and they agree that nothing is owed, sounds good…………..

………the only way their mistake could be corrected was if i sent them a fax telling them so ……………..

    Good service from VisionDirect.
they didn’t even check my prescription with the optician, which surprised me. Saved hassle though!

You know this is a legal requirement……

    ……sounds like really good service,
sounds like they really care about your eyes money

so why would you be asking a plumber for advice about an elctrical product?

IMHO ask the head what her reaction would be to being grabbed by the lapel and shouted at, chances are she would say police or similar, ask her if this should be your course of action as age of the victim shouldn’t matter

Why the gas oven? Gas hobds are great but ovens electric cook faster are more controllable and are cheaper to run,

Our springer is 9 mths now, at early stages she had 2 weetabix with a bit of milk/water to moisten first thing in a morning, a half hour or so later 2eggs scrambled then 3-4 small portions of kibble through out the day (this is because they have small stomach’s so little and often is best. We sometimes had to mix a bit of ‘wet’ food with the kibble but doesn’t seem to need it anymore

She’s now off the weetabix and eggs (still gets them as a treat maybe once a week) and has a larger portion of kibble 2-3 times a day

This is a picture of her a couple of weeks ago

seems to have worked well for her

R+D for each handset platform unrealistic for a free service

buy a better (supported) phone as if its important to you maybe it should have played a part in your original phone choice.

    or

Distance glasses, taken off for close up

this only applies if you are short sighted, longsighted its additional help needed for reading not less……

    thehustler

Would need to know you prescription to be truly precise but basically your optician is now saying you need help for both distance and reading.

Varifocal gives you a focal point for both with everything in between as the graduation changes, in time this will become more important as the difference between prescriptions increases, a vari will give you an optimum for computers etc too

another option is a bifocal, but as the name suggests this gives you a near and a far but nothing inbetween (also has that silly looking segment in the lens)

Third option is 2/3 pairs near/intermediate/distance

Varifocal is convenience but it comes with a price……

if you want any more info post here or PM me

TBH I agree amazing how many people come in with badly bent glasses and say ‘it just happened’ the laws of pysics obviously work differently for them, one of our optoms used to have a nice way of dealing with it, if it just happened he would put the glasses on the desk and just look at them, when the customer got fed up and asked what was going on , his reply “well if it just happened surely it can straighten itself too……..£

the hustler – are you sure about blue ray on Windows 8? Microsoft were giving away Window 8 media centre for free for a limited time. I can’t try it with blueray though as I only have a DVD drive.

Yes google it its about the apparent decline in laptops being used for blueray play back

I am typing this on a version of the Samsung listed above, plays black ops 2 etc with no issues, only downer win8 doesn’t support blueray film playback so you need to either roll it back to win 7 or get a piece of software from ‘somewhere’ that will do it for you

its called submissive pee and basically a sign she is happy to be getting attention from you, the only real way to get it under control is pretty much ignore it and don’t make any kind of fuss when it happens
