Liking the feedback guys. Most of my riding is done on the Golfie at Inners or up at Dunkrld as I like the steeper natural stuff so the Aeris sounds ideal

We’re on our way back now. Chatel is a muddy mess three of us ended up in the river because the wooden shoot on the red has no netting on it. The people trail and all the their trails on that side are closed because of rebuilding works.

I have been suffering from knee pain for the last 12 months and have just changed my cranks to 165mm from 175mm and the pain disappeared immediately. But I was getting knee pain almost as soon as I had to push hard

Every time their was a blockage on the path we would photograph it and phone the Police quoting the crime ref number.

We had a big problem with this where we ride in South Lanarkshire, the guy was putting bigger and bigger logs across the trail at blind spots and at the bottom of steep descents. We put in wildlife cameras and eventually caught him with the cameras and also in the act,his grievances where one of the bikers had hit his dog causing a large cut on its back but the rider paid the vets bill £500. He still continued to do it even after we had reported him to the Police,it wasn’t until the Police had over 10 crime reports that they paid him a visit.
Thankfully it has now stopped but the guy in question has a busy Physiotherapy practice in the area doing work for the local junior football team and the SFA youth teams

I just sat on my first BMX bike 3 months ago(48y/o)and now go every week to the bike park in EK. The only thing I found hard getting used to was the kids asking me what my signature move is but once they relised I was a novice they just left me alone

Was at the Golfie yesterday and all the trails where dry apart from the very top of Lone Wolf and Old Skool Downhill. First time on the new trail with all the berms,it was fantastic but some big breaking bumps already starting to appear

I can relate to everything you have said and are going through op,we have been down that road with our youngest daughter, but my daughters illness started when she started high school and puberty. CAMS have been magnificent with us but unfortunately our daughter had to go into hospital and that is where she recieved the care that was required to get her to a place where she could handle and function in a normal day to day environment.
She had OCD but with that came anger, violence, smashing up the house and not going to school for over a year. She has now been out of hospital for 14 months and is getting back to the person she once was.
My email is in my profile if you would like some advice or real world experience of the situation.

I am 48 and just started BMX two months ago. Every Tuesday we head to Zone 74 in East Kilbride for a few hours. The kids are cool about sharing the park with the old guys even had one ask me what my signature move was”staying on the bike” was my reply

Horrible news but serves as a reminder as to how extreme our sport can be,doesn’t matter what level your at when it goes wrong it goes wrong quickly and the consquences can be very serious. But I love this sport to much.
RIP Kelly McGarry my thoughts are with your family at this sad times
