    we are up in Glasgow and have just had a tow bar fitted to a brand new passet the total cost was £220 through Discount motoring we could have bought the tow bar for £85 and pay a mechinic to fit it

    We where at Inners on Sunday and my mate broke his rear mech the LBS(not Alpine bikes) charged him £50 for the mech then another £20 to fit it not bad for 15 mins work

    I’m 18st and run an 08 Giant Reign x1 with vans 36s and a 750 spring out back done Fort Bill red and black downhill and a regular at Inners uplift days never had any probs with this bike.

    I don’t use sods at all now due to problems with my knees. Once I stopped using cleats the problem improved greatly

    You should try the Cathkin Braes in Glasgow there’s loads of guys willing to blow you off if you stop on the trail

    I have the gold pass so looking to arrive on the Monday and leave poss Sunday night using the ferry to cross from Dover seems to be the cheapest way

    I was up on we’d for a night ride no ice or snow on any of the trails some snow on the higher fire road but trails are in A1 condition

    I always laugh when I hear the word transparency when we the public query a winning bid if it’s a fair system how come it’s always the multi’s that seem to have the winning bids ie Compass for eduction canteens,Brake Brothers to supply local Goverment canteens,Robert McAlpine or Bovis to build any major new Goverment funded buildings in my opinion once the big boys show any intrested the rest of us are cast aside.

    i did it over two days in the summer from Fort Bill we also stayed in Tyndrum it was torture 10hrs to Tyndrum then 11hrs to Glasgow missing out Benglaussfarm-Inversnaid hotel we had to cycle to Tarbot as the hotel ferry was off we caught the tourist ferry back to the hotel we averaged 6mph the climb out of Kinlochleven is awefull we totally underestimated the challenge considering we walked it the year before if you want anymore info email me and i will give you my mob number ghwardatbtinternetdotcom

    Just spoke to Andy Gallegher CV is still closed the car park is under 4″ of ice and eas duhb and the runway completely covered in ice and snow totally unrideable we where hoping to get up their tonight not now

    Was at GT yesterday and done the red 98% ice free the only ice we found on the trails where at Spooky Wood just as you go into the forest it’s the first drop off.

    Drumlanrig has been great all winter have been down their over the holidays and its been fine you check their wedsite to make sure Ricks shop is open as you can hire everything you need from him

    i wonder if the FC has taken into account that without mtb their would be no GT and you cant rely on the red socks walking brigade to spend money at the new cafe.
