Cheers ninja – the watermark’s the only way to stop folk pinching the pics – I’ve found mine being used for profit before, without permission…

I know what you mean but I could easily crop that out and still use it if I was that keen on using it.

Have you tried TinEye? http://www.tineye.com/ It can find where your images have been used. Found lots of mine being used in blogs all over the place but can’t be that worried about it. Is a pain though and would be nice to be asked.

Yeah did give it a go in B+W but wasn’t so sure. Trying to stay in colour after a recent obsession with B+W.

That first one of the dog is superb! Less keen on the watermark though.

For me, ginjaninja’s rock – simply because they’re extremely good examples of what would for most people end up as a very bland photograph. It’s a genre that completely eludes me despite periodic attempts

Thanks. Very kind. There’s loads of beauty in all the places around. Perhaps the best example is this guy on Flickr.

I don’t like the font on the graphics.

    Bike looks good though.

You can send content from your laptop or iPhone to it. Say start watching a youube video on phone then hit a button to send to it. Browse iTunes on various computers etc.

As a massive Apple fan I’m kind of underwhelmed with it. In the US they have Netflix on it which has a far larger selection of movies which I’d love. It’s a bit rubbish without that really. Guess it’s all due to content licensing.

Try getting some “ball bungies”. I use them to mount the flash to trees or even upside down bikes to lift the light source off the ground.

Send him on the Seb Rogers photo course.

He’d learn a lot. He also covers off camera flash.

He’s got enough flashes. Just not aimed correctly. Light is washing over the woodwork not the ride.

Andy, where in London was the ‘Purple Bag’ pic taken? I love the Paul Smith wall. ‘Tate Pier’ is good, too, love the angles.

Thanks. It was just off Blackfriars Bridge on Southwark Bridge Rd. Most have a geotag on. Top right on the Flickr page. Link to Streetview below.

Andy – you see to me a lot of those are overly flashy. Some of the photography is incredible, but a lot of them take a while to load and have confusing interfaces. IMHO.

Totally agree. Not saying they’re all good, just lots of other approaches which might help. Too many are done in Flash too.

Agree with other sentiments that photos should take centre stage and design should fade into background.
