Hmmm sorry but going against the grain here…. Looks alright but nothing special.

No worries. What I love is that it’s entirely custom and makes me happy as such it would be weird if everyone else liked it.

It’s getting protected with Invisiframe today at Cloud 9 cycles in London. Suspect will get chipped and scuffed with bike packing bags on still but it’s for using.

Thanks for all the lovely feedback on it.

How about some of the retro Rockshox graphics that Slik do?

Whilst my references are retro I’m wanting to keep it thoroughly modern. Weird I guess but have spent a long time thinking about it all.

I think it’s 30.9. No internal port and all runs under top tube. Clips take two cables but will be swapped out for three cables as and when.

High praise from you sir (again).

Sure, frame was around £1500-1600 + paint. It’s incredible value when you see how much work goes into it.

My back up plan is my photography but also would move into more BIM world. Get a lot out of helping people so would enjoy that. Often enough to know that it’s there if you want but sounds like you’re past that.

BIM is such a growth area and finding good people who actually know what they are doing is tough. Good people in these roles will out earn Architects from what I’ve seen. Suspect that won’t last forever though as more people skill up.

whats with all the architects jumping ship?

Stress, relatively poor pay (relative to doctors, lawyers, engineers etc), long hours and so on.

A friend left and became a very successful Architectural Photographer. Otherwise getting into tech side of Revit and BIM would pay very well and potentially less actual day to day Architecture stuff. Could be quite rewarding.

Ordered a Inflite Al 8.0S on 1st Sept. https://www.canyon.com/_en/roadbikes/bike.html?b=3619 Was 4 weeks shipping, then 6, now 8 – but they never tell you that, you have to call up after each deadline passes and no shipping notification comes. After a brief conversation on Twitter with them it seems they might not actually have the frames there yet. All a bit concerning really. Had shipping and bike guard charges cancelled but still no closer to a bike it seems.

3 – 4 month wait in replies above is a bit worrying.

Ginganinja – I can’t look at photos of Richmond park without wondering how Fenton’s behavoir classes are going.

    I’d forgotten about that.

Last week riding around Richmond Park on my road bike. The rain stopped, the mist rose and the sun went down. An incredible experience.

May I suggest a limit of 4 pics per post? Seems to be getting a bit crowded IMHO.

Depends whether you want some design or just a drafting service. I’d say the former is better but then I’m an Architect.
